This is why I'm not sure what I thought about it. I reckon it would have worked better as a series too.
I'd see people pop up and think, "Oh I'd like to hear their story!" and never even got the chance to as they were only on for a few minutes. :S
Hopefully BBC will do something like this as a series in future. :)

'Failed the NHS" is on next Monday and looks really good:
http://www.radiotimes.com/episode/cm...led-by-the-nhs
It's part of the same 'Mad World' series and is about a young man with schizoaffective disorder and looks at how young people with MH problems can feel let down by NHS.

^ This. I liked it, but it would have been better if they managed to show more of everyone and more of other illnesses.

It was interesting as I was talking about it at work with one of the support workers who really likedd it and her husband didn't have any knowledge about mental health and said he found it really informative soo

Sorry to bring this thread up again, but a quick google search has not helped me. Does anyone know where I could watch a copy of this online, as it doesn't seem to be available on i-player anymore? I've been out the country until a couple of days a go so couldn't watch it when it was aired, but I'd love to see it :)

Do not be dismayed by the brokenness of the world. All things can be mended. Not with time, as they say, but with intention. So go. Love intentionally, extravagantly, unconditionally. The broken world awaits in darkness for the light that is you.

I saw this on iPlayer, but I think it would have been better as a series of 6 episodes an hour long or something.
More info, and more stories and perspectives.
Even if some people had the same diagnosis that would show that just because you know someone who had illness A doesn't mean that you know ALL about illness A when someone confides in you about their diagnosis.
If that makes sense?
For example, My Grandma has Bipolar, and because of that my mum thinks she knows EVERYTHING about bipolar and mental health. *eye roll* she is like the worst mum in the world and doesn't understand Anorexia because it is not a physical illness. Kudos. Sarcasm. She is an idiot.
