I've met the Queen, tho' only very briefly. It was at Buck House and she was pinning a gong on me. Being deaf I misheard what she said to me and muttered something like "sorry, ma'am", whereupon she repeated herself.

The gong was, and remains, a mystery. I always thought that people were warned in advance of decorations but no-one warned me and I've still not seen any sign of a citation all these years later. But mine was very junior anyway ...

My lasting impression of the palace was the fantastic array of classical paintings on the walls. Years ago at Christmas-time the Illustrated London News used to have a Christmas spread in colour (before the days of universal colour) of paintings loaned for the occasion by the Queen. Suddenly here were the real things which I could reach out to touch (though of course I didn't).

But the Queen was kind and tolerant, as she always is (wow, just how many hands has she had to shake in her lifetime?) And subsequently I couldn't resist thinking just how nice it would have been to have been receiving a Knighthood instead "arise, Sir Anthony Lindsay-Molesworth" - dream on you total fool (and anyway, does a Knighthood, or any other sort of honour actually make you a better person?) But it would look good on the stationery!

Tony.

Never surrender.

probably my favourite all time fav female celebs I have met is probably Sue Perkins and Mel guidydroc (Sue is my future wife I love her) and also Sunetra Sarker and Jane Hazelgrove. I ADORE Sunetra anyways and the casualty cast are always really really lovely.

I met Derek Thompson AKA Charlie fairhead and everyone was like "Oh he is really horrible and you dont want to meet him" OMG complete opposite he was just lovely.

Met Ami James (Miami Ink) in Florida, he was actually really nice despite being generally quite grumpy and stuck up on TV :P Although I think he was more scared than anything, my mum kinda chased him down the street shouting "Mr James! Mr James!" Bit weird.

Uh, met Kim Marsh like..yeeears ago. And even though she kept getting pestered, she jumped up again when she saw me approaching and was like SUP. She was awesome.

I'm gonna tap him like a maple tree. I'm gonna search him for some syrups. I'm gonna be having sex with him.

Does it count if you knew them before they were famous? I knew a few people from dancing/shows etc. who went on to become famous.

I've seen quite a few celebs at conventions and such. Most celebs have been really nice.

One story from work though... I was heading home one day and saw Eric Idle walking with his daughter, who was quite young at the time. I resisted the urge to do any Monty Python at him, and just nodded. He smiled and nodded back.

I think a lot depends on what the celeb is doing at the time. Like at a professional appearance, a gig, show, charity thing, signing or whatever I would expect them to be nice.

Accosting them whilst shopping, maybe they are entitled to be annoyed.

I saw Jamie carragher and David ngog out shopping last Christmas, in the apple store. But I didn't approach them. The guy serving them was just treating them like normal customers and I think most celebs appreciate that.

If I met someone famous I probably wouldn't treat them any differently, or even really acknowledge that they are famous except maybe to mention if I liked some of their work.

JELL BELL.

I got to hang out with Nikki Grahame once (that crazy annoying woman from Big Brother). One of my best friends met her after a charity pantomime once, and a couple of years later she was wandering around our local Tesco shopping with her manager. My friend was there and ran up to her screaming NIKKI at the top of her lungs (she finds her inspirational) and apparently she remembered who she was from those two years a go. She gave her her managers number and put her plus friends on the guest list of a local club she was going to. So we got all dolled up and had drinks with her at a bar :) She's actually really lovely! So tiny though, she could break in half. We got photo's from her, and even though she was heaving over a toilet bowl due to drinking too much, she didn't mind that we actually had the cheek to ask for her mobile number to hang out again. She instead smiled and hugged us goodbye. So yeah, she's actually pretty normal, and really lovely.

My brother played for the Queen a couple of times and got to hang out with the Royals after, but apparently they're all posh tots! Doesn't surprise me in the slightest lol.

Do not be dismayed by the brokenness of the world. All things can be mended. Not with time, as they say, but with intention. So go. Love intentionally, extravagantly, unconditionally. The broken world awaits in darkness for the light that is you.

Louis Walsh is surprisingly lovely. And as you might have guessed - Simon Cowell was the happiest of people. He wasn't too be but hardly spoke and he was quite smug. (Which Louis kindly wrote on my paper!)

Yeah The Blackout are amazing, they're always so welcoming and lovely, and Seans a proper laugh to talk to :)

To wander back in, I've met Keith Lemon, Neil from the inbetweeners (Blake Harrison). I saw a few more (I was in a festival VIP bit) but they were the only two I wanted to meet/talk to. They were absolutely lovely to me, Blake especially, he was genuinely one of the nicest people I've ever met, and so is his girlfriend who offered to take a picture for me.

I met Louis once too, just walking around town, my friend knew him from following Boyzone and Westlife and he gave us some pics of Westlife's new album covers at the time. I'm not a fan but it was still pretty cool.

She did show at my old college, she's rather lovely.

I want Jennifer Saunders to know about my mental health, Jenna! So, lucky =P

You're double lucky, hope you all have a blast.

I have met many, but the guys from Blue October invited us to their afterparty with them. It was awesome!
