I do not regret it at all. My first time was not from curiosity. I didn't even know how widely it was used for coping when I started. I think I would be really different had I not started. Not sure if it would be good or not. Bu the fact is , it wouldn't be me. I don't really know how to explain.

Yes and no. I regret starting because it took control of me. It changed me a lot, and affected my friends and family too. But at the same time I don't regret it, it made me who I am, and maybe did help me with some things. It made me grow up a lot and become stronger to overcome it.

I regret it because if I hadnt started I would never have gotten trapped into it, meaning i would never have attempted suicide (twice), even now I have stopped it still effects me, I have still have phases where it is all i can damn think about and that kills me- to know that I personally will never be able to get rid of it. It has already taken so much of my life that I could have been happy with but instead I have sat on my bedroom floor, sat on my hands to try to stop myself. So yeah, I regret what it did to me, so i regret starting

i do not regret that i started. it has helped me in so many ways, it has made me grow and help through with issues. i wish i didn't have scars but that is something i am willing to deal with. i am stopping now but i would never know how much strength i have without starting.

I don't really regret starting because it has helped me to cope with negative emotions that would otherwise have built up to a level where I couldn't deal with them. I don't think that I could have found another way to cope with my emotions.

I don't regret it at all. I feel like if I hadn't started...then I would still be the same unmotivated person I was before. Now...I feel like, I have to succeed in what I want to do and who I want to be, because I've gone through this much to get to it, and I'm not going to let it all go to waste.

I regret starting it, yes, I always regret it when I feel better. >_>

In the long-run, it's done nothing to help me, except maybe the fact it has brought me familiarity with a few good friends I have that do/did it. But everything else is horrible. The noticible scars. The disapproval from the family. The questions and comments from people at school. The fact my friends get mad about it. The examinations from the police officers because of it when I was sectioned.

Yet when I do it, I want to see the blood... all of it. I wanted to punish myself. It's a horrible cycle, indeed.

I regret all the things i've lost or missed out on because of cutting. But at the end of the day i won't waste my time regretting what could have been. I don't like the fact i felt bad enough to start but in retrospect i don't really think i had a choice. I had to go down this road lest i would have been an even bigger mess.

I kinda do I kinda dont. I wish I would have a better way of coping. See, noyone nos I cut. It puts a lot of stress on me cuz i don't want anyone to find out. Ive been doing it for about 2 years now. I havent done it in about half a year but I really wanna do it again. I hate putting on an act that im happy. If I hadnt started and I had like someyone to talk to bout my feelings I would probably be happy now. But here I am covering the scars up. I no SI'ing is bad. but its the only thing I have control over.

I regret it every single day.
Not only has it held me back and prevented me from doing certain things people take for granted, but I feel it's also changed me for the worse. Sure, it may feel like it helps me stay afloat, but it also feels like it drags me down a little deeper and makes me a more fearful person, if that makes any sense.
Can't help but wonder sometimes, that if I hadn't started, who would I be today?

I don't think I do regret it. It bad and horrible and hurt so many of the people I love. But in the end self harm has shaped me into the person I am, it's made me more open minded and although I have wished I never started in the past over all I don't think I do regret it.

I think part of me regrets it, but I'm not sure if that's just because I think I should regret it, if that makes sense? But I really don't think I'd have got this far without it, I don't think I'd have coped.

I don't regret it. The whole experience has been pretty ****, and I don't feel that I've grown much or whatever. I've quit, but I don't feel recovered. I almost feel angry having quit. The negatives have outweighed the positives by a lot.
However, it's been a huge part of my life for the last four years. I have no idea who I would be if I didn't hurt myself.
I'm really horrible at explaining what I'm talking about, but no, I don't regret it.

I regret hurting the people I love, i dislike having to hide them for job interviews and other events. but i love the fact that I'm still alive today, and without starting - i wouldn't still be here. so i can't regret starting.

I regret that I never found a better way to cope, and I regret that I now find it so impossible to stop indefinitely some years down the line.

However, I believe that what doesn't kill me makes me stronger.
