Sam, Elliot looks like a proper cheeky monkey in that picture. Hes so cute.
Beckie, Jasmine is gorgeous.. i know its a weird thing to say cos shes a baby.. but she had really good skin.
Katy & Sharli... my cat has always been spoilt rotten. When i was preggers lots of people asked if i was getting rid of her etc because 'she might fall asleep on the babies head and suffocate it' .. i think theres only actually been one case of that happening ever in recorded history.
Anyway, Zazz has turned into a bit of a stroppy teenager because she still wants all the attention, but she will not go near the baby, i think because he is very grabby, and he is so excited by her, he actually starts screeching with laughter when he sees her moving.
Saying that, if ever he is having a proper scream, she will come and sit by him and look at him until he is ok again, and she often sleeps at the end of his bed.
I have 2 questions.
1. how that frack do you clean your babies ears? OD keeps getting ear wax that i can see and i dunno what to do with it.
2. Out of curiosity... do all of your babies have their bcg jabs already? (the big one that goes in the top of your arm). Oliver has it, as do most of the babies ive met around here, but up where my sister lives they dont give them until the kids are 14.
I use a damp cotton pad (you know the round flat ones?) to clean Elliot's ears. Just put it on my finger and wipe around the ear hole. I use a wet cotton bud for the outer bits like all the odd shaped creases and also wash them when he's in the bath but there's still always some sort of crust/ wax there.
And no he hasn't had his tb yet. Wonder if its a London thing due to people living closer together and therefore more likely to catch tb. Also a higher level of tourists from other countries where tb may be more prevalent.
I don't think I ever did anything special with Ethans ears, the wax isn't bad, although it can look unsightly On occasion I would get a tissue over my finger and gently wipe away the bits on the outside of his ear canal. Obviously you have to be really careful not to go into their ear canals, the risk isn't worth it really.
with bcgs it depends on what borough you live in. Where Ethan was born and I live we don't get it, but in Croydon high risk babies are offered it (babies who are likely to see relatives from high risk countries) and in Lambeth (where I took Ethan home to when he was born) they offered it to all babies in the borough. That's all within about 5 miles from each other... It's very varied and not great really... Tbh I think everyone in London should be offered it (and other big cities). I got Ethan his because his dads house always has loads of foreign students coming and going so I felt he was at risk.

Reason: .
Yeah, i think everyone in the borough i live in gets offered it (Lewisham) cos there is such a huge population of people from countries where its still prevalent.
Plus theyre too young to have developed needle phobia or to pick it, which is good i guess.
Yeah, hes a really happy baby. I think im really lucky, hes not bothered about strangers or new places or his teeth or anything. He only grumbles when he is hungry.
Absolutely gutted just got a text to say all appointments are cancelled at babybond tomorrow so I won't be having my scan till Monday now. We have 1cm of snow :\
You're entirely bonkers. But I'll tell you a secret. All the best people are.
Yeah and that is disappearing fast because it is now raining. So annoyed. Just got off the phone with them and they have booked us in for Monday evening instead but we were supposed to be having a really nice day tomorrow to make up for not celebrating my birthday last week. We were having the scan and then going out for food and cake and stuff. You would think we were in the middle of a blizzard the way she was talking about the snow.
I said that we were ten minutes away from them and had hardly anything and she was like oh no it's dead bad here we need to cancel appointments for health and safety reason. *sulks*
Going to try making up for it by spending tomorrow doing the nursery up.

We can't paint or anything because its rented so we are trying to make it colourful with other things like curtains and rugs :)
It is rainbow themed and I have been making loads of stuff to go in it this week. Can't wait to have our bedroom back because we currently have all the furniture in boxes next to the bed and you can barely move in there.

Katy why not try walk stickers? They just peel off when you're done with them or you can stick them on furniture instead. Also you should totally just turn up at the scan place and pretend you forgot! Hehe.
I wouldn't dare put anything sticky on the walls now. I had some business notes blutacked to the wall, they hadn't been there long at all and they have left HUGE marks on the wall which won't come off. Goodbye deposit :(
I am so tempted to do that Sam! We have woken up to pretty much no snow which is even more annoying
