I didnt plan it myself, no. Im going with tour company, they had lots of choices I picked that one because it was a good length of time, and I get to go to some really cool places, all in hotels. Its all overground by coaches, with about 30 other 18-35 year olds. Im going by myself, but there will be pleanty of other people I just wont know them. I'm leaving on July 28'th.
Yay for the ED forums great post count :)
Jo you will never ever be redundant!

Sounds good, Sarah. I would have liked to take a degree in performing arts, but I more strongly to help others, so going into the psychology profession.

To be honest, Kerry, the people who graduate with a psychology degree are pretty much a dime a dozen. You'd probably be better off doing something unrelated, that you enjoy, for three years then taking a conversion course.
Plus, remember that you're only 16 - you've got two years yet to decide what you want to do.
What A-levels are you taking?
^ Kerry, you can do both if you wanted to. My cousin Becky did a drama degree, and she does drama workshops for kids with special needs, and works as an Advocate for elderly mentally ill people when she's not performing. And my friend Hannah is doing a music degree and going on to be a music therapist.
Oooh Naples sounds lovely! You must come to London at some point this summer, Jo!! *prods* today, um, just hanging out at home later im going to greenwich picture house with some friends to watch a series of short films by new and upcoming directors.

Oh and as for uni, didn't I tell you? I decided on Durham :)
Uni preparation is fine! How about you? I've applied for my student finance so all that should be sorted soon, and I should get reading lists and forms and stuff just after results, which will be just when im getting back from holiday, so it all worked out really well!

That sounds amazing, Sarah, I do hope you enjoy it - the film thing, that is.
I know! I'm free pretty much throughout August, so we really must organise something.
Yeppp, I've had to send of the finance forms. Fun, aren't they? ;)
Part of me is thinking that I want to buy cutlery & cooking utensils & get myself ready for uni, and the other part of me is thinking that I might be tempting fate, and I'd be better off holding on until I get results. The conflicts!
:)
Lol yeah I've decided to wait until results. It does feel like tempting fate.
Im actually going to FREEZE in Durham though. lol! My mum said she would buy my warm clothes, including a North Face jacket with duvet material in it lol and a cashmere jumper because I borrowed my uncles and it was sooooo warm. yayness.
But yeah, I dont have to buy much stuff because I'm going to be in catered accomodation. I'm going to take a kettle and a teapot with me though!! for those times when you need to sit for hours and work and you dont want to have to leave your room to get a cup of tea!!

Oh Sarah, wouldn't that be just fabulous? That's such a plan. I'm up north - Manchester - too, so we can freeze together. Haha.
Lucky you! I decided that I'd rather be able to control the food - having set meal times didn't really appeal to me. But yes, despite being self-catered, I'm still planning to have a kettle & a tea collection in my room. :)
Your course sounds absolutely awesome, too, I forgot to say before. It does just sound so interesting, are you looking forward to it? What would you have done as Sussex, if you'd gone? xo
Oh - and part of me is worried about leaving the equiptment-buying that late, as I'm thinking how many other hundreds of people will be raiding Ikea for mugs at 16p each, or whatever :)
xo
I kinda wanna do something today like go to the cinema/go to asda. But I haven't got bus fair and dont feel like walking on my own. I'll wait for my sister to get home.
Life can be beautiful if you let it.
Step back, breathe and take it in
haha I dont think Ikea will run out of mugs, Jo. But I see your point. Oh and if you want you could come stay with me in August cause I wont be busy, and it would just be wicked to spend a couple of days with you.
I didnt have a choice between catered and non-catered because Durham has a college system so we all live in the college for our first year, and its all catered, although I think you can choose not to pay for meals and theres a kitchen and stuff, but *shrugs*
Im really excited about the course, yeah, Im glad I picked Durham. Sussex I would have done English and Film but I was thinking of switching to just English because I realised the film course there didnt sound so appealing. You must be excited too Jo!!
