Re Little Thieves. OKAY. HEAVY. It's either adult or like old young adult maturity wise if that makes any sense? There is a solid trigger warning at the start to heed but doesn't get super graphic for the most part. Fantasy myth retelling with german... ish world building and terminology. Queer relationship (because no clue what else to call it) but isn't the main main character. Found family. Uhhh. GOOD. REALLY enjoyed it and was the first book in years we started and genuinely wanted to keep going on. Loved the characters even if they were all broken and screwed up.

Oh and necromancing a rhyming pony ftw!
Also quite literally the first time we have come across in fantasy where trans folks were mentioned as a world building thing in passing and thought that was REALLY cool and fun. eta - HAVE BEEN INFORMED THERE IS A SEQUEL TOO
Hmm, I don't tend to like fantasy so that might have to be saved for a day when I'm feeling particularly bold!
So pleased that Ana on the Edge received a positive review!
Spring on the Little Cornish Isles: The Flower Farm - Phillipa Ashley
Finished it today. I gave it 4 stars as it was well written and not too taxing. However it wasn't what I call an outstanding read hence why its only 4 not 5. Would I read it again? Probably not so will donate it to a charity shop.

Gone down a foster carer rabbit hole and just sped through Louise Allen's Abby's story and then nearly finished Eden's story.
Camden- the nb person I mentioned to you also enjoyed Ana on the Edge (I recommended it to them and told them that you had approved and said it was better than 'that pants book'!)
What you are looking for is in the library by Michiko Aoyama
Found it great in parts, dragged in other parts. Depends which stories you connect most with. It's similar in style to Before the coffee gets cold which I would 100% recommend, especially for anyone liking magical realism / speculative fiction
It goes to show, that no matter how bad things get for me, there is still always one thing which brings me happiness. I must cling to this for it is the making of me, the beginning of my resurgance and the fightback epitomised. I will defeat my demons.

read the camp quiltbag book. still awful name. it was fine but definitely prefer the author's individual books. liked that there were transfem characters and other identities too instead of just nonbinary transmasc. was nice because dont think we get to find as many transfem characters and would like to.

read different kinds of fruit. definitely a twist on the queer books we have read so far. unsure what our final review is. there was a lot of transphobic comments at the start but it turned out okay in the end. jenna, could have some good talking points for your library but would def recommend you read it first. dont want to bring them up as spoilers but can if you do decide to read or not.
