black swan, I get anxious and freak out if I am near school kids, or groups of teenagers, so although it is slightly different as it is another group of people that sets me off, but I can sympathise. I am glad K will meet you and is understanding.

on that note, I hope it is ok for me to post in here as a man, I wouldn't want to stress anyone by posting.

I have another question (sorry, I do apologise that all I seem to do is ask questions, tell me to stop if you want)
Is there a form of dissociating where it is as if you are watching yourself from outside of your body. Tonight I have had a paramedic round after NHS 111 rang them and have been to the walk in centre doctor, I know these things happened, but it is like they didn't happen to me and I was watching as an outsider. I'm wondering if this is a different form of dissociating, as it has happened before too, but not as vivid as tonight. I feel bizarre now I am back home.

hope everyone is doing ok.

Seeing yourself from another's point of view is a form of dissociation. I'm story things are thought for you Oliver. Sending positive thoughts your way. xx

Oliver, yes this is a form of dissociation. I've had it when I was having an accident with my horse and oh a few occasions when I was fighting with my dad. I used to get this surreal feeling a lot when I came back from dissociation. By now I'm so used to it that it doesn't feel surreal anymore.

Kerry, when you start to talk dissociation and flashbacks is probably going to get worse for a while. But it will wear off and eventually you'll feel a lot better than now. I used to have stomach pain and I knew what that meant, it lasted for days until I finally told my therapist. The next week was unpleasant because the pain was still there but in the next session we worked on making it better. And now I'm pain free, except when I'm triggered.

Hi guys . Sorry you are struggling Oliver. I get trauma headaches when I discuss trauma very disabling sometimes. Sorry to ask this question is it also part of dissociation to hear loud white noise ( only way I can describe it sorry) or sometimes things seem loud but I'm aware on one level that it's actually silent or at least not excessively loud? Sorry I'm not explaining myself well.

If you mean that it feels like you are under water or everthing is getting drowned out what you hear? Then I get that sometimes, too. For me it is a sign that I'm a little bit dissociated or am about to be fully dissociated.

Oliver, can I ask you a question? You wrote in your signature, that you are homoromantic, what does that mean? Hope this is not appropriate...

how are you doing now uglyducklin?

Laura, sure, it means that I am romantically and physically attracted to people of the same gender, but not sexually attracted to them, so I am asexual in the sense that I have no sexual attraction, but also gay in the fact I am attracted to men, so homoromantic is a way of combining the two. Hope that makes sense.

Hope everyone is doing ok.

Thanks Oliver! It makes sense to me.

I dunno why, but my eyes are hurting today the whole day! Maybe it is because of the heat. It's 37° Celsius here today and on the radio said that it is hotter than in Italy, France, Spain or Portugal! haha... and I know people who went on vacation because they wanted more sun.

Is it maybe hayfever making your eyes hurt Laura? Mine hurt and itch badly in the summer because of hayfever.
