Lindsay!! I need a book recommendation and you are just the person to provide one! I like foster care memories and trashy middle aged woman novels that are described as ‘thrillers’. Any suggestions?
Oh my goodness, just realised that this might sound like I’m judging your book taste!! It’s just that I know you also like fostering memories and are generally well read- I wasn’t expressing an opinion either way on your experience/enjoyment of trashy middle-aged women literatures, sorry =S
Haha! That's ok! I'm not sure I'm even good at making suggestions and I'm not sure what a trashy middle aged women novels that are described as thrillers are! Cathy Glass memoirs are good. This doesn't fit in your genres I don't think but I liked the Comfort Food Cafe series by Debbie Johnson. I don't really know what to suggest. Best you do the hard work and look on this thread and see how many stars I've given books and then look them up and see if they suit you. Sorry for passing the hard work onto you!
I put it down on paper and then the ghost does not ache so much.

You mean you're not my personal literary expert? How disappointing!! Yep, I love a good Cathy Glass book. I've read them all, but there's a new one out on September 1st :)
Have you tried Torey Hayden or Casey Watson? Or the thrillers that Cathy Glass writes under Lisa Stone? I can't even write reviews for books I just give them star ratings! And it's so easy to forget what the book was about very quickly!

Ha! Knew I'd make you give me a suggestion eventually, I bet the Lisa Stone ones are suitably middle-aged womanly :P I've got one of her books in paper form but as it's an audiobook I'm looking for atm, I'll choose one I don't have in paper form and try that, thanks!
I've actually just finished listening to a Casey Watson audiobook; she's good, but she's no Cathy Glass! I've definitely heard of Torey Hayden and I might even have some- should probably read them...
Oh so you tricked me into giving you a suggestion, well played I've read some of Lisa Stone's books but not all I don't think. There aren't many. I hope you find something that you enjoy.
