different people will probably see this as either best or worst, but I think it's cute XD.
My dog's veterinarian has a little dog who lost a leg after being hit by a car as a stray; so when they adopted him she named him Tripod.

my dog's name is gemma but my family generally lacks imagination when it comes to animal names.
we had a dog and called deefor as in 'D for dog'
we had a cat and called it ceefor 'C for cat'
we had a budgie and called it beefor 'B for budgie'
finally we had a mouse and you can see where i'm going with this .......... it was called it numbnuts (not my idea). we got bored of the whole alphabet naming.
however most of those pets where from before i was born so i claim no part in the un-inventive naming of the animals. clearly i could have come up with better names .

We already have a maine coon called Xena (And we use to have 2 others, Hercules and Zeus). Xena is 8 kgs... her Dad DJ was 14 kgs... Ned (the papa of the kitten i'm buying) is already 9 kgs... and Maine Coons grow till they're about 5... so he'll be about 10-12 kgs roughly. I hope the kitten is the same size! I'm really drifting towards (really) calling it Aries... But it's Anthony's kitten, so he'll get to name it.

oh oh ! and there were my neighbours who wanted to call there puppy "leather back seal" but then decided that was to long a nae to shout out in the park so called him "seal" then got bored of that name and changed it to "alfie"

My cats are named Zulu and Boots (she has white paws). I call them Kit-kat and Bootsie, respectively. Or just 'kitty'. My dog is named Emma, but I call her her Em or Puppy.

I used to have lots of fish. I had two bigguns called Bob and Stevie, who both died in horrific ways. I then had a few other fish who went under the names of: Ringo, Cleopatra, Burny and Silver.
But nowwww, we have a cat who is actually called boysie, but gets called: Boog, Boys, Moggy, Froog and my personal favourite: THE MOGMEISTER GENERAL.
Everyone wanted me to call my cat socks *she has four perfect white socks* and I was like... uhhhh no. :P

so these are my mice. Stories of their naming:
the first is Bambi, named due to her fawn-like coloring.
2nd is Trixie just cause it sounded good. she died young of asthma. Bambi's gone now too. Then I got Coconut (third pic) so named cause her coloring reminded me of coconut cream pie (all white with a yellow-tanish butt you can kinda see.) I got her with Zoe who's the only one left but i couldn't find a good photo.
The cat we had as a child was named Snowball because he was pure white.
It was obvious that he fathered the litter of the cat across the street. May have been more than one. Only one of the kittens was totally pure white however, my parents next door neighbor adopted her and named her Snowflake.

My sister called her Hamster 'Cabbage' I'm ashamed to say I was the one who jokingly suggested that name to her. For good Hamster names though, my last one was called 'Yuna Gillespie' (Names from Final Fantasy X, and Silent Hill)

Adam, sir fluffykins wont eat Georgie! I'm getting him when he's a kitten. He'll still be smaller than georgie for a little while :P She'll beat him up a few times, train him to be her slave and when he grows up, it wont occur to him that he is bigger then her :P It will be all good. Georgie will be the boss of sir fluffykins, the same way I am the boss of Anthony. It's symmetry at it's best lol
