Personally speaking; I've popped into f&d a couple of times and found them all to be tedious quizzes, as a result I leave that forum alone as I find it doesn't offer me anything I find "fun" or "distracting". I like the random joke posts, and I would certainly miss them if they were posted into f&d as it isn't one of the forums I pop into as I was turned off by the quizz-like threads.
Honestly speaking, it isn't a constant stream of joke threads that are posted in general, by Jess or anyone else, I find it more unusual than usual to find one.
As was said by someone (name blank-sorry) above, this is a non-issue.
But then surely if a joke thread was made in F&D you would actively go there more often?!
no, it is unlikely I would even be aware of it's existence, and I think it would most likely fall off the front page very quickly as people fill in quizzes etc.

If a joke thread were in F&D I would never see it. I don't think the total time I've spent in F&D even adds up to 2 minutes and it's not somewhere I plan on going into more so I wouldn't notice jokes in there, not even if JOKE!!!! and it was always on the top of the list so it would come up just when browsing down the forum list. I just wouldn't notice because I flick past it and what it says never even registers.
Really, I don't see the issue. I haven't seen the recent number of threads because I've not been in GC as much but, when you have the "Special Thread"/ "Rainbow Room" etc in there which in my eyes don't really bring out any real discussion any more than a joke thread may or may not, I don't see why it's bothering people so much. As said before, no-one is forcing you to read a thread and if you hover over the title you will seen a good amount of a thread so just through that you may be able to judge what it is.
To be honest I couldn't care less about them. Really, not the big issue of the century is it?
