I passed out in Reading and split my head open and loads of random people stopped by to help me called an ambulance (although i was quite out of it so i gave them a fair amount of abuse for that, bahhhh to hospitals) and held things to my head and all. So lovely i wish i could say thanks to them now.
I always give up my seat for people. It just feels like the right thing to do, i mean theres no reason why i can't stand! And if i buy the big issue i'll always have a chat to them and give them something extra.
Once an old obese woman in an electric scooter broke down going up a massive hill and apparently my mum pushed her up it! I just wish i'd seen that!
xx
I forgot the times when I was struggling home from Scotland with really large bags and I stopped at the bottom of the stairs at the station for a breather before climbing up, and some guy just picked up my bag - I panicked slightly!! - and carried up the stairs, looked back to check I was coming, put it down and just walked off! Never did get to say thanks!
Then there were the homeless guys in London who we stood near when deciding where to go, who overheard it was our friend's birthday and sang happy birthday to him
My dad was attacked by some guy once, and I shouted at two strangers to call the police while I was trying to get the guy off my dad, but they both ignored me and I had to phone them myself.
Then later when I was running back to work, I still had blood on my face and was out of breath. Most people just ignored me, but then a chav asked if I was alright. That surprised me.
I helped an old lady get her walking stick back at an airport one time. She didn't even realise she'd lost it, but I'd seen her with it earlier and remembered.
i was on a train once with a couple of friends, and the inspector was really rude to us (it was a Cross Country train and we had no seats so were sitting on the floor in the vestibule... common on shitty CC trains). i bawled my eyes out and started having a panic attack and one of my friends (who had a seat) led me over to her seat to sit in, and the lady next to me, who was deaf, held my hand. then another couple (lol i think the whole coach had heard the kerfuffle) gave up their seats so me and my friend could sit together.
2 or 3 days ago we were in the dinner hall having lunch and one of the girls I recognised was sitting by herself eating breaky, at first we kinda just watched her cos' it was early on and people were still coming in so we thought she was waiting for a friend/someone would sit with her but literally NO ONE did so me and my 2 friends went over and sat with her and she thanked us and we all basically agreed that people were bastards.
Also the first night we were walking back from the Student Union welcome party and there were a few lonely people walking about so I invited some of them to my room for a drink :)
I've spoken to quite a few homesick people this week as well, cos' it looked like they really needed to talk and let things out so I reassured/empathised with them and they seemed much happier afterwards.
At the beginning of the week people I hung out with were really nice towards me as well and whenever I said I felt lonely they'd be just like "Look, it's okay, you have us so you're not alone" and it meant more to me than they could've imagined.
When I was younger I used to get lost quite a lot at markets and stuff, and all the passers by would just ignore me (typical Poles) but one time a shopkeeper took care of me. She just left the store with all her things and customers still in there and took me to the information point and tannoyed that a little girl called Maja's been found.
Oh I jsut remembered. The other day we were outside a bar and some guy kept on bugging this girl who was really drunk and basically couldn't shake him off so I went up to her and started talking to her to see if she's ok, the guy was still there talking away like the **** he was so I told him to back the **** off, he swore at me but then his mates came so he left.
Good times.
This is making me feel a bit better so I'll be back with more. If there is more. And I can remember.
ok long story i passed out for no reason at church well i was sitting there started feeling very sick i as going to get up to go to the bathroom but before i could i passed out over the pew my hand was clenched tight the guy behind me helped to carry to the back for the church the mass didn't stop for me and then this lady came up who was a nurse and helped my mom since she was really upset and a bunch of other people came up to help and a bunch of people called 911
Sherlock: Oh, please. Killing me. That's so two years ago.
Y'know, I don't think i've ever seen someone fall over and someone not offer to help?
A girl on the train tripped the other day and about 5 pairs of hands reached out to help her.. maybe I just get on nice trains.
"Be nice. Think happy thoughts. Champion silver linings. Love all things (not just cute things like babies and kittens) & when you do love - love like they do in power ballads (you know like on a cliff with the wind in your hair and your eyes shut, knowing you'll never know love like this). Watch out for dog poo. Smile at people - even grumpy ones. Remember anything is possible & whatever you do always try to look on the bright side."

once this man asked me if i had any change for a fiver (he had it in his hand) and i did so i gave it to him thinking he would just give me the fiver and carry on. but then he decided he had a thing about redheads and was going to steal me away and make me marry him and then i was like " i need to go" and he started like..punching me and telling me he loved me?!
my friends were there and tried to stop him but 15 year old girls aren't really like...yeh.
and all this men just walked straight past even though it was clear i didn't want to speak to him ...i mean he was PUNCHING me..
& another time on the bus, me & two of my friends must've really offended these boys (they were like 13 &we weren't interested...strangely) & then they literally just punched my friend in the face repeatedly (her eye was black for weeks & stuff) & like kicked me in the face. the bus was like full, there were loads of people who could've done something but noone said anything to us until the boys got off. :(
...
i don't know why i wrote those stories as they're not really acts of random strangers being nice...
I roll over and hold on tightly, and whisper "If they want you, they're gonna have to fight me,"
I was at a club the other night, and there was some old man and he grabbed hold of a girl and was dancing with her and not letting her go and she looked really uncomfortable.. so I got one of my friends to reach across and grab her hand and pull her over to us to get her away from him. She thanked us =]
I was on holiday in my caravan in Holland and I needed a wee like... really bad... so I was running and I tripped over the sill on the door and fell over and this man came dashing up to help me up and check I was ok
I do random nice things sometimes. I try to be nice to people.
Like.. I'll always help people with buggies off of trains & up stairs & shiz if no-one else has already offered & they're alone..
& last night I was clubbing & I saw a girl drop her purse on the floor but she didn't notice, so I picked it up & tapped her on the shoulder & asked if it was hers. She was really relieved & thanked me. =)
My dad also saw a drunk woman on the train platform & he recognised her because he sometimes got her train. He said she looked really unstable so he walked slowly a bit behind her just to make sure she was okay.. But then she fell OFF the platform & just kinda layed there on the train tracks! So he jumped down onto the tracks, picked her up, got her back onto the platform & then walked her home safely. =)
Where we live theres like a dip at the bottom of the road and it had be raining for like all day, and it was all flooded and some silly person thought they could drive there little car through it but got stuck, so mum and I helped them push it up the hill, the puddle water came up to my knees! I had soggy feet:D But it was nice to help:)
I've helped people who have fallen over or dropped stuff across the floor, cause I feel bad if I don't:P
Today I met a couple of girls at the CU meeting, and they insisted on walking me back to my Hall because apparently it's late at night and I would've got murdered or something. Even though it's not late? But it was really sweet of them. Lol. :)
I just remembered, I went to meet a mate of mine at Waterloo Station. I am RUBBISH at public transport (anxiety etc, etc) and I got to one of the underground stations, for the life of me I couldn't remember what train I was supposed to get on and I started to panic because I knew my friend was waiting for me. This man noticed that I looked uneasy and asked if I was ok, so I explained where I was trying to get to and he got on the train with me and showed me where I was supposed to go and what stop to get off at (seriously I needed that much help) If it weren't for him I'd have been standing there panicking for a very long time!!

Once my dad had a heart attack in the parking lot of a Target store, and I was only about 7 at the time, so I was just standing there freaking out. But tons of people, both customers and employees came over to help and called 911. And one of them talked to my dad so they could find someone to come and pick me up from the store. Then the employees gave me free cookies. They were nice :)
I like to do nice things for people. At work, I'm always the one helping people who are deaf of don't speak English because I'm the only one with the patience enough to help them find what they need, haha.
