oo, I didn't see this when it was first posted.

I've developed a habit of saying that everything is 'jolly nice' or 'jolly good'. I actually cannot stop!

We need to bring back the works Cad and Rake, as ways of describing men of questionable values. The equivalent words for women have stayed common.

My husband is my best friend.

In forgiving others, we are not exonerating them. They may not deserve exoneration. Rather, in forgiving others we are giving up our anger over the fact that what happened is not what "should" have happened or that our life is not the way it "should" have been.

I have a few favourites that slip out frequently. 'By gum' is a one, 'by George (I think she's got it!)' is another.

I love 'gosh' and 'golly' and 'geewizz' too ^_^

Now I'll play your ghost as my ace, whenever I'm led astray.
But I am actually good, can't help it if we're tilted.

"Flippin' Nora" is a good one.
Or "sugar" or "jeez Louise".

'Crumbs!' reminds me of Penfold from Dangermouse. I love Dangermouse.

I forgot to turn the washing machine on :P

I say queer to for the same reason! :P And in my close group of friends were 3 gay guys, who very quickly became accustomed to me using it! They got so annoyed at first :P But now... they use it too sometimes! :P

I say Holy Moly too!

I speak quite "posh" and always say gosh!
(ooh that rhymed!)
Good Lord comes in quite alot too!
or "hoot" as in "I don't give a hoot" or "she's a right hoot!"

OH DEAR!

As a little kid you believed in fairytales,
that fantasy of what your life would be: white dress; prince charming who would carry you away to a castle on a hill.
You closed your eyes and had complete and utter faith.
Eventually you grow up. One day you open your eyes and the fairy tale disappears.
But the thing is, it's hard to let go of that fairytale entirely because almost everyone has that smallest bit of hope, of faith,
that one day they will open their eyes and it will come true.
