Hey you can message me anytime you want. I was in hospital for a year. I have 10 tablets a day to take, which is boring cos I have to wake up early and a blood test every week but I don't mind, as long as I feel okay.

How do you deal with your BPD and OCD?
I take meds for them.To be honest the OCD isnt too bad.It doesnt take over my entire daily routines.
One thing i want to say though is i never feel sad realy.Just distressed or confused.

That's good that your OCD is under control. I know what you mean about never feeling sad as such. I am the same. I just feel anger, hatred and jealously instead!

i developed schizophrenia after a head trauma. firstly i had amnesia and couldn't remember anything for more than a few seconds. my personalty changed completely and some of my friends stopped liking me because 'i had changed too much' (although i didn't really know who they were). i started hearing sounds and whispering randomly through the day and it got worse when i was on my own. i also say movement and lights at the edge of my field of vision. i thought they would go away so i ignored them, but they got worse and the whispering turned into talking so i told my psychiatrist. she told me i had schizophrenia i was put on anti psychotic. i was changed between different ones until i found one that worked and slowly the visual hallucination's have gone. none of the different treatments have stopped the auditory hallucination's but hopefully they will go away.

oops....

PM me any time, i'm usually online.

Hey all,

I don't know if i have schizophrenia, i'm scared to ask my dr about the diagnosis, but i'm currently taking meds that treat schizophrenia; that is 8mg of Pernazine/Trilifan

I suffer from hallucinations every day but i rarely heard voiced and sounds compared to the frequency of experiencing hallucinations.

Spreading the dose is a really good idea. I do that myself.
Yes unfortunately they do put people on high doses of medication in hospitals. I couldn't walk unaided at one point because of the meds they put me on.

PM me if you want a PDF copy of the ICD-10 or the Mental Health Act 1983/2007. I ALSO HAVE THE DSM-V BOOK and am a pharmacology student.

I have a visual impairment / neurological problems so I need people to type in clear text and no funny fonts. Also excuse any typos, my vision blocks things out.
I have autism and have problems communicating, PMs included.
Just becasue I type well doesn't mean I speak well. I am only part time verbal.

Well I can't explain it in one paragraph, but feel free to PM me any questions you have. I will try my best to answer them.

I haven't been diagnosed yet, so I'm not sure if I have Schizophrenia or not,
but I do know that I have psychosis.
I take Abilify for mine.
I occasionally hear voices, but they are only there for a second.
I also have hallucinations pretty frequently.

Oooh I'm a bit late for this thread
but It's very interesting

I'm on Olanzapine 12.5mg for pychosis. Only been on it about a month and it's gotten rid of some symptoms but other stuff it hasn't really changed,
they keep upping my dose and I feel really doped up but the voices still haven't gone.
I'm scared to ask for a diagnosis in case they tell me I have schizophrenia. So far they just tell me that I've had (or I'm having) a pychotic episode.

My doctor is really annoying, he keeps asking me am I hearing thoughts in my head. It's very annoying when they keep on asking me if my voices are thoughts.

I hear 4 separate voices, it started out with just one voice but now I hear four seperate voices.
Theres a girl who tells me to kill people. she tells me that it's my mission to go out and stab who she commands me to stab because they're bad people who are trying to access my thoughts (which is true) She scares me the most and is the hardest to ignore.

Theres a man who calls me names, FAT STUPID BITCH ect ect stuff like that. He and another man laugh at everything I do and criticise everything I attempt. They can be ignored if I try hard enough.

then theres another man who tells me to die, he tells me to OD and cut and kill myself because I have to die, he is very scary and influences me a lot. The girl and the man who tells me to die are the scariest and sometimes I find myself doing what they want me to do.

I'm currently v.scared actually because the voices are quite bad tonight.

Also when I'm out on the bus or in town I can hear everybody elses thoughts, it's almost like people are trying to access my mind and my stream of conciousness or something, which is scary and freaks me out.
Sometimes I'll be on the bus and I get every single person inside my head all at once, so thats like 30-odd people all trying to get into my head at once which is unbearable.

I'm rambling now, I just really feel for anybody out there who is experiencing pychosis because it's ****ing horrible especially when nobody believes you (in the case of my doctor and social worker)

Jess, I'm sending hugs your way.
My doctor asks me if my voices are thoughts, its very annoying I know.
I know exactly how you feel about everyone's elses thoughts being connected to you.
Its terrifying and I hate it when doctors and social workers fail me too.
I hope that you can stay strong and get through this.
I've stopped taking my meds but I feel fine.
"it's almost like people are trying to access my mind and my stream of conciousness" I get EXACTLY that too, so I understand *hug*.

Cumbersome, what are your hallucinations like?

Shadowedseraph, doesn't the procyclidine give you odd side-effects?
