I sure hope not. I'd be equally guilty. ^_^

On a side note, the women in that "anime" scare me. They're too muscle-y or something...

Bleach was good through the Rescue Rukia arc, then it got increasingly more lame. Just like DBZ.

Aizen was one hell of a villain, but the filler was lame and it did take forever to get anywhere, still well worth checking out.

Hm. I never watched that far, of course. It's funny, because Aizen was so far above anyone that to have Ichigo on his level seems so silly. The Bount filler was indeed lame and it made me stop watching. After that I saw pieces of episodes but they didn't look that interesting to me.

Weak > Power up/ train > Defeat enemy > Weak > Power up/ train > Defeat enemy ... etc.

Same thing over and over, lol. I still have friends that watch/ read it, so maybe one day I'll get around to it. When there's nothing else to see. :P

Ichigo gets so epicly powerful then he loses all his powers(so they can start all over again!) and it goes forward a year and a half, the showdown was pretty epic, episode 309 i believe :p

Mikes super sexy awesome weekly anime recommendations WEEK 2

AKIRA:
Following the disaster wrought upon the world by a mysterious being called ‘Akira’, Neo Tokyo is now in social and economic turmoil. In such a decaying city, feisty Kaneda and his shy friend Tetsuo survive by running around in a biker gang, chasing local rivals and generally evading the police. Everything changes, however, when Tetsuo crashes into a strange-looking boy during a bike chase and the military ends up taking him away. When he eventually returns to his friends, he’s no longer the same weak little boy they always knew – in fact, a military experiment has turned him into something beyond human imagination. While the military is intent on reclaiming its specimen at any cost, Tetsuo is sick of being bullied around and is about to show everyone, including his friend Kaneda, exactly who is boss.

The manga this film is based on would take you a week to read so the story deviates a fair bit.
That doesn't make this film any less awesome though and i can think of a couple of modern blockbusters and video games that wouldn't exist if it wasn't for the inspiration drawn from this story.
Although perhaps not the most cheerful of films and something of a mind**** from start to finish, well worth a watch

Oh yes the endless long fillers for me the bount one is what made me pretty much give up on the show. I did get back into it a few months ago and skipped the whole bount thing. It isn't a terrible show but it does get rather annoyingly long and drag on and on.

I have watched plenty of animes that have the same formula as bleach does but they were alot more enjoyable and didn't drag on.

The characters started to get a bit boring as well and seriously the show needed more chad [admittedly they did ruin chad a bit for me when they got a new voice actor for him and made him quite boring] and a lot more funny moments.

Hm, yeah, and the formula isn't even Bleach's, Bleach borrowed it from DBZ.

I agree that long animes tend to get too drawn out and boring. For that reason I only watch anime that isn't longer than two seasons. The only exceptions I've made are Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood and Naruto.

Seems like the best stories are the ones that end with you wanting more, and the 13 ep shows do that well.

lol yep god I love dbz but I have watched it so much I wore myself out on it.

I used to like naruto and still I like it sometimes but the sasuke stuff really started to annoy me so I stopped watching it but I do read the manga occasionally. I might get back into the anime someday but ehh I just don't feel like it at the moment.

I finished fullmetal alchemist brotherhood and it was awesome I was laughing and crying alot during the last few episodes. Poor greed it broke my heart since he was my favorite character.

There are only a few long running series I have stuck with but the main one is one piece even though lately it has dragged a bit but still the show and manga always makes me laugh so much and I just enjoy all the characters and enemies. I know a lot of people don't like it but it is like a never ending adventure to me and defiantly has lots of laughs.

There are a number of good anime films that you should check out so don't avoid them! I would /highly/ recommend the two Tenga Toppa Gurren Lagaan films. They're called "Childhood's End" and "The Lights in the Sky are Stars". Each film covers the events of the TTGL anime (plus some extra stuff) so it's not like you'll miss anything. TTGL has one of the best stories of any anime ever, the manliest man in anime history, and if that isn't enough to convince you, it has fighting robots the size of galaxies. In a word, it's epic.

TTGL is an action anime. If you might be interested in a drama, I suggest 5 Centimeters Per Second. It's a classic. The film is broken into three epidodes that total an hour in length. Its art is absolutely gorgeous, and it's story is original and realistic. It's very sad, so have tissues with you, but no anime fan should go without knowing this film. :)
