I'm reading Change of Heart at the moment and I'm actually really impressed with it :)

Got Plain Truth to read afterwards and from what you lot have said, it sounds really good!

I'm yet to read Songs Of The Humpback Whale though - what did people think of that?

This thread is making me want to read more of her books. Might start another one after my book. I've got a set with Keeping Faith, Mercy and Tenth Circle in - which would people recommend the most?

Also got Handle with Care and Second Glance but think I want to wait a bit before reading those ones.

And you say I only hear what I want to.

keeping faith would be my first choice of the 3, and then handle with care, which is amazing x

I finished 'Change of Heart' last night and it was so sad, it actually made me cry and it is the second book to ever do that. Are all her books intensely sad?

so I finally got a hold of the movie 'the 10th circle' and have already watched it like 4 times since tuesday!! Even though I know its different from her book, the story line of the movie is still pretty accurate and I like it:)
and my favourite qoute from it.. "you have to let go, not knowing if she will go to pieces or land softly. All you can do is keep watch. All you can do is try your best to break her fall..."

Love Jodi Piccoult's books very much, my favourite is Second Glance though, which doesn't seem to have come up much in this thread. I actually think she portrayed self harm better in that one than in Handle with Care. Plus ghosts just win.

What happened to Willow at the end of Handle with Care annoyed me actually, it was like misery for misery's sake.

19 minutes is my other favourite, and Keeping Faith and My Sister's Keeper are excellent as well.

The films of The 10th circle and The pact, has anyone seen them? How accurate are they? How much are they likely to piss me off?

Oh oh oh and guess who I have met, not once, but twice:

jealous as, I am!!!

tbh I dont remember every detail of the book "the 10th circle" but just recently watched the movie and I liked it a lot.
The following content has been hidden - Reason : spoiler

Although I could have sworn that at the beginning she sh'ed at home and it wasnt by burning herself at school... and also I vaguely remember in the book trixie and her parents went to where her dad grew up but in the movie the story didnt get that far... it just ended with the cops finding out who killed trxies ex and then trixie and her parents heading home...
hope this helps!!

and the pact, well I watched that a few months ago although have not yet read the book... I thought the way the film was set out was really well done!

Regarding Trixie
The following content has been hidden - Reason : potentially triggering
She did self harm initially at school but it was cutting not burning.

^ No worries haha. I watched the film incidentally it was really quite good, better than I expected, however I was disappointed that they didn't include the Alaska trip.

I did watch it on you tube quite a while ago but a few weeks ago when I wanted to watch it again I could not find it at all on there:s
so no idea where its gotten too..

....and I know the alaska trip was good... but I am guessing they just ran out of time in the end for the film:(
but at least they kept most of the things the same in the movie... unlike my sisters keeper - grrrr

I love all of her books I have so far read, although my favourites are Nineteen Minutes and Handle with care
I started reading Change of Heart a few weeks back, but stupidly left it at my boyfriends, so won't be able to continue until a couple of weeks.

I LOVE HER!!

Tig - I read half of Songs of the Humpback Whale, but it really annoyed me so I stopped! All the jumping around with the time and stuff was unnecessary, I thought.

Nineteen Minutes, Change or Hearth are the BEST books ever :P I also really like her newest one that I can't remember the name of... about a boy with Aspergers.. House Rules! I think that's it :)

She needs to hurry up and write MORE!!! Hehe
