That's pretty sucky if you were. A friend of mine was made redundant a while ago and about a month after he'd finished his job was being re-advertised, but under a different title. Nice.

I was laid off from the job due to economic issues. My boss had to lay off everyone on the 2nd shift because buisness was really slow. She cut the hours too, but still kept my name and number up in case my co workers needed a day off or called in sick. I had gone back a few times to cover, but my boss had to completely close because the foundation on which the buisiness was on became unstable.
My job finished on Tuesday.....it's the best job I have ever done however I was only on temporary cover for someone who had been off on long term sick, the management told me it was unlikely she would return, however she did and I am now out of a job.....the agency who I was through are very supportive though and told me they will put me as priority if anything else comes up as I have represented them well....won't hold my breath though.
Anyway, I go to sign on at the Jobcentre on Monday, hope they will be nice to me...
Sparkling angel, I couldn't see, your dark intentions, your feelings for me.
Aw that's a shame. My job is only contracted for a year because it's maternity cover. I'm dreading it coming to an end, I'm kind of hoping they might be able to move me into a different area of the nursery.
Good luck getting a new job. Hope it doesn't take too long to find one xxx
Thanks Lou Lou, it just feels quite hard as this is the only job that I truly enjoyed and got the most out of....job was great and the people were great. Have been watching my phone for the past few days as the company I was working for wanted every contact number for me as possible.

so, i dont know if i can take the stress of this job - my boss seemingly needing to talk to me on -every- shift about mistakes. i know i need to wait it out - she doesnt' want to fire me, in fact needs me at the hours she's giving me - very strenuous - 8 hour shift and and hten a 16 hour shift right after it - ugh but i did make mistakes. the other manager talked to me about most of it so nothing scary. and the worst that happens is i get fired, which won't happen. it'll just be unpleasant. i will live. and i will just have to wait it out till this job becomes more pleasant. i don't need to run. (unless a better job comes along.)
