btw, in case anyone is concerned, I have sent a pm to Pup directing her to this thread so that it can be amended if she wants or perhaps a mod might think it needs to be edited?
To be honest, the thought that I might have felt someone **** when trying, in all honesty, to score points or be funny, was quite terrible so whether it was about me or not, the r&v made me evaluate my attitude.

Glad you aren't offended. I hope people can see hoe rants can be postive though in that they can make us see things in ourselves that aren't great.
I don't think r&vs are appropriate for direct flaming or anything but it was certainly a wake-up call and I could have been paranoid and pr'd it but took a step back.

It's okay no reason, it can be used in a positive way to change behaviors etc, but I can also see how it can cause the person it is (maybe even isn't incase they assume it is and they're wrong) about to feel upset and then do the same in their own thread.
As I said though, I'm just going to ignore others who may do that about me on theirs and do my own ranting about it elsewhere. I do use my thread to rant about family too, so I think that'll stay as everyone else does it.
I think the last part of your post is good (and the rest of this isn't directed at you or anyone else in particular)
I have an ex-member who seems intent on trying to hurt me via other internet means and sometimes we need to just decide not to read their rants etc as they probably don't mean to hurt people as much as they are and it solves nothing by a person/s being hurt by reading it.
I find it hard to ignore/not read some people's rants but to some extent people's privacy and need to rant needs to be respected.

That sentence didn't make much sense? Did you mean people cause me to all the time? If so, well, maybe rant about it elsewhere so it doesn't cause trouble and so you don't get in trouble?

Also...I'm glad this thread has been made. I've had people flame me in their rant threads and it hurt, a lot, and I have done the same thing...So I try my best not to do so anymore :)
