If it makes you feel better sandwich, I spent my valetines day so far bleeding on the seam of my jeans because I can't sew to save my life :D
They've needed repairing for 6months+ so I decided to darn them.

that bloodstained patch along the edge. you always have to backtrack, double, even triple stitch. the more thread, the stronger the patch job will be.
