But then I also stick my tongue out before I take a drink, so maybe I'm just weird.
You might want to curb that habit. My nan does that. In fact it's a trait of old people. For some reason they're all trying to taste the food/drink before it's in their mouths.

Now I have seen some very fascinating pictures of abandoned 50's diners and turn of the century farm houses abandoned since the great depression.
But from the looks of all the pictures you have to be in the middle of nowhere to snap them.
Not to mention abandoned steel mills, hospitals, churches and cathedrals and the occasional theme park.
You must live in a place that keeps updating it's look and doesn't have old buildings. Miami is like that, i've heard. Updating itself every few years.

I recently read about an old asylum in Verona in NJ that is apparently haunted and it's abandoned, that would be an interesting explore

The ones that tried to help TB victims are usually very depressing because of the obvious negativity that went on in them, the history fascinates me as much as the atmosphere does. Wales has quite a lot of them in the middle of nowhere.
