What's in your world
Nothing you care about, nothing you feel
How can you live
Always on the verge of realizing yourself
The master that we serve has raped our destiny
We're still enslaved we're still enslaved
The master that we serve has **** our lives away
We're still enslaved, we're still enslaved
Life's pain you face
Everything's set now you're told what to do
It's all you know
Spinning like a cog in a pointless machine
Seeing truth now
Nothing from the sweat that was stole from you
Cutting yourself
Looking at your wrists as the blood hits the floor
[chorus]
Scream 'til you bleed
Looking at life though a crack in the mirror
Reflections all split as it becomes clearer
Devotions you've brought nothing to gain
With innocence lost all that's left is pain
Make it stop
[chorus]
I'm enslaved
Now I'll play your ghost as my ace, whenever I'm led astray.
But I am actually good, can't help it if we're tilted.
I'm in my right place, don't be a downer.
I'm no angel, unless I'm fallen; Give me my wings.

For once I'm happy. Why? I've gotten revenge on someone. Not the best of things to be happy about but they deserve it.
Smiley by Me...If it shows... And the banner
Adopted by Alive. Am I the only one who finds that ironic?
Torn apart at the seams of my dreams turn to tears
I'm not feeling the situation
Run away try to find that safe place you can hide
It's the best place to be when you're feeling like.
After weeks of dirt tracks, and several periods of open fields, and enclosed woodland, the stone road was a gloriously welcome sign of civilisation to the lone rifleman. It meant that people had been here, although judging by the state of the road, not for some time. The road was still here, though, and it had to go somewhere. Nobody would build a road that went absolutely nowhere. Well, nobody Xithyl knew, at least.
He dropped down from the rock he'd been sat on, enjoying a light lunch not because he'd wanted one, but because in the last two days he'd seen nothing bigger to shoot than a rat, and that hadn't tasted very nice. The dried food from his pack had been much better, on reflection, but he knew full well that he only had enough for a few meals, so he had to limit it. He also didn't have too much by way of cartridges for the rifle left, and he had to preserve them too, because they had been almost impossible to come by the further he'd come from home. It seemed that he'd been wandering into a part of the world that didn't treat the flintlock rifle as a standard weapon. Indeed, the youngish girl at the farm he'd tried to beg for some food from had assumed it to be some sort of demonic instrument, and Xithyl had found trying to persuade her extremely difficult to talk around from the other side of a heavy, bolted door.
There was always powder, somewhere. He had a shot loaded in the weapon, anyway, but with powder from the horn rather than a cartridge. He had a lot more of that left, since it wasn't used as much. In the end, he forced himself to stop thinking about this, since it was going nowhere, and to focus on the bigger problem - so was he. He took out the small, battered tobacco tin from one of his pockets, and popped it open, so that he could roll a smoke. The sun would be setting, soon, and it was rapidly approaching the point when he would need to decide whether to make an all-out gambit for reaching that port city he'd seen before dark, or bedding down and making a decent camp for the night instead. He lit the cigarette from the tinderbox, and, thinking furiously, began to move, deciding on the direction that seemed to head closer to the city.
He had at least some time before he had to choose, he reckoned. He could follow the road for at leas-
He stopped thinking abruptly, and went immediately into sentry mode before he'd even realised it. The rifle was unhitched from his shoulders, and leveled at the two figures walking towards him, from behind, and he cocked the hammer back smoothly, edging toward the side of the road for a little more chance at cover. He couldn't tell if they'd seen him, or even if they were armed, much less hostile, but the drilled soldier in him had thrown him into this course of action automatically, so he went with it. Trusting that veteran sentry in him had kept him going several times already just this week, and it seemed like the safest bet.
He resolved to wait until they saw him, and approached, rather than to call out to them. Shifting to a better position, he took up one knee, and rested the rifle arm on it, so that his left could hold the cigarette, and he could smoke it in reasonable safety without worrying about triggering the rifle by accident.
(woa... i copy-pasted a post from one of my fantasy rp games. forgot about that.)
Days like this, I don't know what to do with myself
All day -- and all night
I wander the halls along the walls and under my breath
I say to myself
I need fuel -- to take flight --
And there's too much going on
But it's calm under the waves, in the blue of my oblivion
Under the waves in the blue of my oblivion
Is that why they call me a sullen girl -- sullen girl
They don't know I used to sail the deep and tranquil sea
but he washed my shore and he took my pearl
And left and empty shell of me
And there's too much going on
But it's clam under the waves, in the blue of my oblivion
Under the waves in the blue of my oblivion
Under the waves in the blue of my oblivion
It's calm under the waves in the blur of my oblivion
