Bipolar II

Bipolar II disorder is characterized by hypomanic episodes rather than actual manic episodes, as well as at least one major depressive episode. There has never been a manic episode or a mixed episode. Hypomanic episodes do not go to the full extremes of mania (i.e. do not usually cause severe social or occupational impairment, and without psychosis), and this can make Bipolar II more difficult to diagnose, since the hypomanic episodes may simply appear as a period of successful high productivity and is reported less frequently than a distressing depression. For both Bipolar I and II, there are a number of specifiers that indicate the presentation and course of the disorder, including "chronic", "rapid cycling", "catatonic" and "melancholic".

I am currently:
I think it's absolutely ridiculous that prescription charges are going up in England yet are free elsewhere in the UK. I'm a first year student with no income other than my student loan and my parents helping me out a little bit yet I do not qualify for free prescriptions as I have savings. I have 2 prescriptions a month the whole year round plus 3 monthly prescriptions for hayfever during spring and asthma inhalers and eczma cream when needed. Being a student this means I have to use my birthday and Christmas savings to buy medicines which I would otherwise plan to spend on a car or on a deposit for my first house when I'm older. If it's good enough for the Scots, Welsh and Irish to have free prescriptions, why can't the English?
