lol berni, i looked after my friends little one today as well as freyja...i tell you what, i gotta hand it to those who have more that one young child...!!!!
shes 1 and getting into everything and was chancing her luck with me...doing things anyway when i said no, touching things she knows not to touch. i didnt take any of her crap but trying to juggle the two of them was hard at times! then they both slept for like 2 1/2 hours and i didnt know what to do with myself!!! but i survived around 4 hours with a 1 year old and a 3 month old and i think if i had two at those ages, my hair would be grey...if i had any, prob wud have fallen out from the stress!

lol i know what you mean. i got jamie to do mine, then we realised they were much closer together than the timer said they were.
hopefully you will get one very obvious sign - like your waters come splatting out onto the floor....then you wont have to wonder!

lol the bath didnt work for me either...i always thought of mand when drying my toes. nothing worked for me. i did have a curry the night before i went into labour, but i had had plenty of curries so i think that was coincidence.

you never know, sometimes early labour or slow labour is irregular contractions. at one point in mine they slowed down to every 10 mins.

Berni, contractions can vary, they don't *need* to be 20 - 30 seconds long, they can be as long as a minute or more; just bare in mind, your labour doesn't know it has to go by the textbook.

We're putting our little guy to bed in a vest and socksuit most nights (and a nappy, duh!) but the hottest we're getting here is about 24/25 degrees and so we just don't use any covers.

Some people, from what i know, don't realise their waters have gone; there doesn't have to be a gush because bubs head can be right down and so "block" the cervix in a way once the waters have gone so they're just come out very gently.

I'm off, toddler trying to help me!

I saw Shona's post on live view and I wanted to add that the waters can trickle out for a while if the mucus plug at the bottom of the cervix becomes dislodged, but not all the way.

Well it breaks my heart to see you this way,
The beauty in life, where's it gone?
And somebody told me you were doing okay,
Somehow I guess they were wrong.

lol just the usual hun, raspberry leaf tea - though tablets are more effective and dont taste like crap - curries, fresh pineapple, walking, running up and down stairs, sex...not like you can be arsed having sex and its certainly not easy with the bump in the way! wear your best knickers and change your sheets, if you have favourite or good sheets then put those on. in theory sods law should step in and your waters will go...but it didnt work for me!
so...i forgot, i may have asked this lol, is this little one planned?

the pineapple, dont waste your money hun. it does have something in it that they use in inductions, but you would have to eat around 7 pineapples to have any effect. that would be bleeding gums and a healthy dose of the sh!ts!
jamie wouldnt come near me when i was pregnant either. unless he was drunk LOL! i still think its stupid, its only bit of amniotic fluid and we all floated in it once upon a time. got a birthing ball? bouncing on that is meant to be good.
