Alrighty.
The problem lies within Avast! Anti-virus.
To get back into chat you need to disable on access protection
However doing this means you do not have protection. So another anti-virus program is adviced.
I'm sure when James gets around he can change some settings to fix this so you will not need it disabled.
I think what happened is when it crashed recently, looking at http://www.recoveryourlife.com/forum...ad.php?t=97518 . Is the server then reset to the original port, which avast does not like. This issue happened when chat first came out so should be easily fixable again when James comes around.

i checked both firefox and internet explorer. its not working on either.

okay, i dont have avast either, i have sophos- a uni anti-virus one. still cant get in :( i miss chat.

I had to reformat my computer and I can't get into the chat room either - not with firefox or internet explorer
