i think these things are a really good idea especially about information about the different illnesses and drugs and perhaps also listing the differences between the various mental illnesses ie the difference between depression and manic depression or depression and schizophrenia say.i dont know that was just a random thought.
i was also thinking what about having a sticky explaining a little about the different roles of people within CMHT or that people are likely to come across in CMHT/ CAMH's ie psycharist, social workers, CPN's, rehabs, occupational therapist, psychologist, ASW.
Sorry if the idea in the last paragraph has come up before or isnt a good one.i just used to get confused with all these things!Still do sometimes and ive been in and out of the system for quite some time lol!!
im happy to contribute from my experiences of being under CAMH's and then in and out of the system under CMHT for quite some years now.
And i could perhaps at some point help out with trying to find info about various illnesses and writing it out a bit too if this was necessary.And the various drugs/groups of drugs and what they do and what they are mostlt prescribed for [maybe also stating side effects etc possibly??Dont know if that a good idea or not though!]i do think a disclaimer is needed here though just to be safe for the site as mentioned before!
And i would also be happy to help with info like writing about the roles of different people within mental health services people may come across etc and what to do if you have a disagreement with the CMHT - though to be honest the latter still confuses me a bit somewhat and i think there may well be quite a few people here with more knowledge on how best to go about things in this situation than me!

Edit: Rawr, here we go - "What circumstances will mean I get hospitalized/sectioned?" and "What rights do I have in hospital?". These will be two totally different posts in the information package. When I know exactly what's going on, I'll reply to the PMs I've had back and let you know too. :)

Just to update you guys on here - this is so close to completion, it's awesome. Thank you, to all of you who've contributed or who've volunteered to contribute! It's been amazing.
As it happens, we still have the two titles mentioned above *points* still open, so if anyone feels up to writing a short piece about it then let me know as soon as you can. Otherwise, it can be written up elsewhere and the whole thing is gonna be so shiny and awesome and win. *slight excitement*
Oh oh oh, and if anyone has any other ideas... bearing in mind, most things are covered though? But if anyone has any other thoughts for it, then just say the word. =)
I've had to PM a few people already about that... since talking to a coupla people, I think another team are doing some things about CAHMs and such, and it isn't my *area* to do it in the sticky D: There will be a link to information about it, though.
