You cant temporary abuse alcohol, not as if you can switch it on and off like that, it's an addiction, Helen knows I am not by any means insulting her, just trying to make it a VERY big deal as she is already in a critical state and her body can and will give up oneday soon.
But whatever. My apologises for my opinion.

Maybe you should ask your dad to remove any alcohol from your house and let the shops nearby know not to sell you any drink.
We had to do this with my friend who was 16 and had a severe alcohol dependancy.
Making it harder to get spirits hopefully will make it harder for you to drink more. Do you actually want to stop drinking though, because until you do no one can help you really. They can try as they might but you need to want to stop. If you do doctors can provide help on stopping.

But I being poor have only my dreams, I have spread my dreams under your feet ; tread softly as you tread on my dreams.

if you are using alcohol as a crutch you have a problem with alcohol.
i agree with the rest that alcoholic is abit of a strong term, but if you continue to abuse alcohol regardless of whather you are one now that is what you will become.
its a slippery slope, that anyone can go down regardless of age or any other factors.
would try and find support for it before it becomes even more of an issue
take care. x
