I'm glad that you're settling in.

About weight gain - when I was on olanzapine, I avoided the weight gain by eating very healthily. When I was hungry between meals, I would eat apples and drink tea or flavoured water.

How are the supplement drinks? I would be happier if they gave you a proper, nutritious, healthy meal instead of those horrible artificial-chemical-filled supplement drinks.

My best wishes to you and hope that you can get better.

PM me if you want a PDF copy of the ICD-10 or the Mental Health Act 1983/2007. I ALSO HAVE THE DSM-V BOOK and am a pharmacology student.

I have a visual impairment / neurological problems so I need people to type in clear text and no funny fonts. Also excuse any typos, my vision blocks things out.
I have autism and have problems communicating, PMs included.
Just becasue I type well doesn't mean I speak well. I am only part time verbal.

I'm sorry you're in hospital and you are struggling so much. Risperidone didn't make me gain weight. If you're on a low dose, you tend not to suffer from the side-effects of atypical anti-psychotics as much.

I am home for a few hours. So so boring on the ward. There isn't much to do apart from watch tv and sleep. I'm really not managing to do the groups as it either doesn't appeal to me or I'm just not up for it.

I don't often have the supplement drinks. Think I've had about 3.
The Risperidone is giving me postral hypotenstion big time.
Even my reasting BP yest was 80/54.
They say I'm dehydrated but I can't be, I mean I'm drinking loads, due to borden. More than I drink at home. I reakon about 8 cups a day instead of my normal 3.

I have SI's once. And the Dr stiched it without using lidocaine. again. (he did this in Feb) I at first refused saying I wanted it to be numbed first and I was told I would have to make my own way to A&E. (£15 taxi fare each way I guessing)
So I allowed him to stich it. OMFG it hurt.

I found out yest a girl cut nd was taken to hosp for stiching... So I'm gonna talk to a Mind advocate about this as it isn't right.

I have dissociated a few times and they have seen the full whack of it and the problems the voices give me. (hence being on risperdone now)
I was so disociated (according to them) I couldn't hold a cup without spilling drink and I was just so quiet. Like whispering. Very strange.

I had ward round yesterday and was convinced I'd be discharged but nope! I better be next week as I'm going to Scotland for xmas on the 19th!

i'm just gonna ask where they're going,

Hugs. I'm sorry that they were so unfair with how they treated you.
You should contact your advocate.
Being kept in hospital sucks.

I'm home! Discharged!
I asked the Dr today if I could go home and first it was on terms of leave until ward round on Tuesday but he went an asked another Dr (he is a junior Dr and the consulatant is off with man flu) as he can't discharge. The other Dr (a consultant) said yes to me being home!
I got a script written for me. Covering me until the new year (3 1 week scripts)

I'm so happy. A little anxious but I'm I'm trying to not feel that. Trying to get myself thinking I am fine. I am fine.
But I'm a little eeeeking!

2 weeks in hospital.
Now free.

On the whole it was a good admission. It was just the few nurses that I knew were twats anyway from before! And the stiches debacle. Pfft.

Oh my bed is so nice! I slept so well! Too well I didn't wanna get up!

Cinema... The day the Earth stood still. Rubbish it was too!

Saw social worker today. She agreed it was a good admission and certainly helped me.
