ok well just explain what you have just said but dont go into detail thats ok for the doc to know they dont need to know more but if they refer you then you may need to go into more detail

I went and got an appointment. Was so embarrassed. My friend from school was there, but it was OK. Need to wait until the 25th now.

I guess it is causing me pain, but I keep hoping it'll all go away. Yes, I know it'll never happen like that. But one day I hope it will get easier.

Hun it will get easier, but only once it has been talked through and you have learnt new coping stratergies and ways to deal with it, sorry to sound harsh. Im still so proud of you for making the appointment :)

Just wanted to add my congrats on making that doctors appt, definitely a hard thing to do, and I know a lot of people here have agonized over it for the same reasons you have. The one thing I wanted to tell you is what my doctor told me after I told him about my SI (well technically I pulled up my pant leg and asked him if it was going to scar, nice guy, he took it well) (anyway...) He said "All I want to do is make sure that you're safe." And that's why doctors are there, to help people be safe. That DOES NOT mean that they're going to call the men in white lab coats with straitjackets. It DOES mean that they'll help you get the care that you need, whatever type of care that might be, therapy, meds, whatever. As long as it is about YOUR wellbeing, and YOUR safety. So congrats again, and remember, they're there FOR YOU, not the other way around.
