Just got back from the summer solstice.
I'm battered mate. Still.
You should have gone last night, for it is the only time you can get up close to the stones. You won't get within 100 feet of them normally.
Last night and this morning, well...offically best time of my life. Thgouh I tripped out realy badly after sunrise, thought things were crawling on the ground and coming to eat me while I was trying to sleep.
The atmosphere last night was unbeievable. I was just about to post a thread but saw this and came in. I'm gonna post pictures later if anyone is interested? I missed sunrise with my camera, there is a reason for this...stoned and on some hallucegen....couldn't have worked my camera even if I had known where it was!! But I did get some pictures of the stones up close, before they shut it off again.
I can't even describe the place to you, and tbh I find it pretty amazing without 23 thousand people high as a kite. I have only been once before...wasn't allowed up to the stones.
You are going to think I am talking a load of crap, but when you get up to the stones, the energy, even this morning when there was less going on...and last night before things kicked off, and before I was drinking/smoking anything.
Yeah maybe I'm a bit of a hippy but I had an awsome time.
