i found out myself in junior school and by then it wasnt a suprise really so i guess you should let them find out themselves.
when i was really little about 5 or so i got a toy off santa and when we got it out of the box it was broken so i went with my mum to take it back and when the woman asked if my mum had the reciept i apparently very loudly annouced "of course not santa doesnt leave reciepts"

If I pretended I was blind
And struck it from my mind
Would it still be there?
What if I'd do anything
To make it seem all right
I finally got Lei'd in Vets....It was an enjoyable experience!

Let them work it out by themselves. I can't imagine that in this day and age when everything is so cynical they'd go past say, secondary school level, and not have figured it out/been told in the playground.

&& then buffy staked edward. the end.

Even as the stone of the fruit must break
that its heart may stand in the sun,
so must you know pain.

There are only two ways in which one can live their life. One is as though nothing is a miracle, the other is as though everything is.

I've always been a bit of an imsomniac and on Christmas Eve, when I was about 5, I saw my mum come into my room and put my stocking in there... I was gutted that Santa didn't exist!

I'd say just tell them if they ask, they'll realise some things don't add up at some point. One of my mates was never told about Santa so she knew from day 1 that he never existed
