I used to get presents when i was younger but i think i'm too old for easter now. I got 2 easter eggs though off my nanna and my nanna's sister-in-law. My mum normally got me a special easter egg or present but i think my dad forgot but never mind. As long as he remembers my birthday.

I got a big cadbury's egg, two rolo's eggs (now transformed into rice crispies cakes) some yucky creme eggs and an after eight egg.
Oh and my peculiar aunt and co got me a bracelet (*grin*) and a travel toothpaste/toothbrush set (wtf?) with the creme eggs. yeah.

We've always just gotten candy & random cheap trinkets which is fine by me...the last few years we didn't get anything because my brothers and I are older. Then randomly this year we got movies. I got Sound of Music and The King and I, my two favorite musicals! =]

Decorate my own easter egg
and a nintendo ds ...... well i bought myself that out of the money i had from my nan for easter..
Also me and my sister had lovebirds, kira's one is called bubble and mine's squeak will put photos on here of them when i can find the lead for my camera.
My sister who is 5 had 32 easter eggs and a portable dvd player

I got more this year then i have in like 7 years.
My mum actually got us an easter egg, normally she gets us something worthwhile, heh. My nan got me one too.
And then i got, a lindt bunny, lindt mini eggs,mini eggs, kinder egg and some other egg. Flowers and an easter egg from some children i look after where i work.
far too much chocolate this year.

Nice thought but today is really an inconvinance as I couldn't work (the shop is to big to be legally allowed to open today) so I couldn't work and nothings open so I can't even go shopping and sort stuff out for moving. And then I'm working again tommorow till the end of the week. bah humbug.

A. Christmas?!
B. Easter Sunday is celebrated as the day that Jesus rose from the dead. Good day symbolizes the day that he was crucified.
The eggs, chicks, etc etc indicate new life - the message is brought in along with the joy of spring.
As to the chocolate? I'm guessing that's just to make it taste good.  Commercialism, eh.
