I was actually thinking the same thing about the sociology professor too, Ktanaya, hahaha. I doubt it though. I always have a bit of suspicion that the media is partially run by scientologists, but that's my own deep-seeded paranoia.

scientology is a pseudo-religeon, or rather, an alternative belief system. they dont believe in drugs or doctors. Tom cruise is one. they also believe that people's souls came from outer space i think. its a belief system that i dont really understand that well, but they scare the bejeezus out of me.
romancandle - it depends on which part of the media your talking about, the women's gossip magazine people don't seem to approve of them, but it wouldn't surprize me about the rest of the media.

Actually it's :

For example- a group of people will be given what they think are meds but only some people get the real meds and others get a sugar pill or something fake. The fake pill is called a "placebo". Sometimes people will think they are having an effect from a med even though its fake because of psychological factors.
