Same with me...my psyc told me i was depressed then 2 days later told me i was just being too negative about things.

Yep, when I went to therapy for cutting my therapist refused to admit that there was something actually wrong with me, that I was depressed, and said I just needed to learn new coping skills. I did learn new coping skills, and I still feel miserable, but that didn't seem to matter to her, so I stopped going. Probably stupid on my part, because I still struggle with SI/SH now, and maybe if I stayed (this was two years ago) at least that would be okay. But yeah, no one seems to take the fact that I hate myself and the world has lost it's color (in my eyes) very seriously. Everyone was just like, "get better already," without telling me how. So I never have.

My psychologist once said she thought I was just "down" rather than clinically depressed.
I guess I showed her what I really was!
