I have the cow machine one.
To make a beans toastie, just put the bottom layer of bread on the machine, then scope some beans on to, stick the top layer of bread on an shut lid.
And Kel, no they dont take long, usally abour 4 minutes I would guess.

i like toasties but only with beans inside on their own.
couldnt mix the fillings! but then i cant mix fillings in sandwiches either.
i do like cheese on toast though but only if i make the cheesy really crispy and dark.

Surely baked beans would just run out and go everywhere. I dont think it would work, well not in my machine anyway.
as im a vegan i have pretend cheese in mine. it doesnt met and go all stringly like proper cheese but it does melt a big and goes kind of sticky. still quite nice.
Try dipping them in heinz ketchup, or salsa sauce - thats quite nice.

when you make toasties in a toastie maker it kinda binds the ends together so the beans dont fall out. especially if you put a little butter on to help them stick
