waiting times vary from area to area.
I went out of my nhs trust for DBT so it took longer, hence a year.
Definitely still go for the assessment
The other thing is... as part of reasonable adjustments when you get a job they will have to work your shifts around your therapy sessions.
That is what I was lead to believe by my cousin who is a HR Manager

I agree with Auror a lot. I think, from what I have read anyway, you need to challenge yourself a little more and try to find some way to fight back against what you are experiencing.

I know things like the Diazepam can help for a while but I also know they are addictive and maybe, just maybe, they aren't doing you any good at all anymore? I don't know, I'm not you and it's just a suggestion, but maybe it's something to think about.

I would also say that you maybe need to be more realistic about things. This is not going to be a quick fix, it will take time with regards to every step of the way.

I know you want and need these things right now but it may help if you prepare yourself for them not to happen any time soon, and that this may in fact be a long haul.

I know you want to get a job, but from everything you have described and how much diazepam you need to be able to do things, it does not sound realistic for you to work right now. I think there would be too many people and too much stress. That's why the DBT is important because if you really work hard it can help you to reduce that anxiety and be able to function within society so much better! And afterwards you would be in a great position to start a job and be able to enjoy it and stick with it.

Hi. How did the assessment go?
If you want to know anything just contact me. I did 18 mths full programme DBT (1hr individual each week, 2 hrs skills group each week and 'phone coaching availability most days til 10pm). As a result, I recovered from and lost my BPD diagnosis.

Hopefully the letter will make sense of it for you.

The offer stands about contacting me. DBT helped me recover from BPD. I know longer have the diagnosis and it makes dealing with my bipolar and psychosis a lot easier. Not so much chaos.
