Have the CMHT suggested they might discharge you? Maybe you could talk to you CPN if you are worried that they might?

No they havent. I have broached the subject with my cpn before and she said as long as I am on depot they will continue to see me because they need to adminster the medication. If I dont have the meds, then I will relapse. But that was back when I was hearing voices 24/7.

I am seeing my cpn on Tuesday and I will probably mention it to her then. Besides I dont see them discharging me soon (if ever) because it's still early days and I am continuing to hear voice (albeit only for 20 mins a day). I am not on the maximum dose so it's perfectly possible that my cpn may try an different dose to get rid of the voices if this dose doesnt work.

I am scared that without the backup of the cmht that I will be found fit for work (my cpn says that I cannot cope with a job) or that when it comes to transferring me to PIP (I am still on DLA) that it gets refused. I need the money and I think that they shouldnt leave someone who has a indefinite award for DLA with high rate care without nothing. At least with the PIP ruling that if they dont give me a suitable rating that I have backup for appealing the ruling.

Also I suffer from what my cpn calls "ideas of reference" which distresses me, and no amount of medication can cure. The same goes with a low mood, no medication can help me with that.

It sounds like they probably won't discharge you, but it's a good idea to bring it up with your CPN just for reassurance!

Well she came and said that they won't be discharging me as long as I am on depot. She said that the nurses in the gp surgery won't do depots. I will be on them for life so I guess I have my cpn for 5 years yet.

Glad to hear you won't be being discharged anytime soon, I hope you feel reassured by that.
