Nicely edited, well done you.

Anyway, I'm off to work now. Hope you get a job soon, being unemployed sucks.

Ok. Thats good that u heard back but why it took so long i dont know! How u feeling now? Yh u may stand a chance but remember they would od already made up their mind by now so dont be disapointed if u didnt get it.

There are other jobs. Why two interviews?

I was applying for jobs yesterday lots and one was tesco but again said i wasnt picked for interview. Im sure they dont even look at my cv anymore and say sorry but wont be picked. I have the experience.

Dont worry about it.

Considering the number of applications this level of job receives, they probably won't have time to individually call applicants, even when it has been shortlisted to the interview stages. It would be nice if they did, but they'd be employing people solely to do that one thing, which is not very cost effective when you think about it.

Hannah, my experience of the third sector has not been quite so warm and fuzzy as one would hope. Although a lot of people seem to go in thinking they'll be fantastic employers because of the industry they are in. However, the reality is that the third sector can be just as, if not more, "corporate" than the big FTSE100 companies. Yes, I am jaded, and literally counting the days until I get out of the last circle of hell that is my current job (in the third sector)!

Oh, yeah, I'm not really under any illusions about them necessarily being better employers, it's just the kind of thing I want to do, so worth a go! I understand that feeling though, when I was working in care with a very large and well known healthcare company, I had a lot of people saying "oh, I bet they're wonderful employers." Lol, no. It was seriously terrible. I hope you're moving on to something better, anyway!

And I seriously know the feeling about being rejected from jobs that you feel you should be qualified for. I got rejected from really basic jobs when I was trying to get out of my last job, and it stings. But the reality is, that they are looking for a specific type of person and you may not fit that profile. Being angry about it and feeling that it is personal isn't going to get you very far. If you want feedback, you can always ask.

No, they don't take cv. You have to pass there first initial test through their site, then based on your answer, they will choose you for the interview. I had two interviews because I applied in two different Tesco's. One of them was in Slough for Grocery Assistant (from which I did not got a response after interview) and the other one in Twickenham for Customer Assistant (which they rang me today ).

The One Who and Serendipity are both right. They can't always contact every person to let them know the outcome as they are very busy people and I know thats no excuse but in reality they got to run a business. It's bad that they don't get back to u and they should tell u if u dont hear from them then ur not picked for the job which is the best way about it.

Also, u can always ask them without giving up wether the interview went well to them or nor and if by any reason it didn't then u could ask for feedback. You got nothing to lose then. It's just the case of being that person who they are looking for and it can sometimes be down to luck two. There are other jobs even if this one don't work out.

How u feeling in urself vulcan58? You having a good day or not? I'm here if u wanna talk x

Your really not on ur on with the job searching. There are lots of people still out of work and that's how life is but u can only do ur best and make a go of things which u are doing really well on. You should be proud :)

Yh that's how I thought Tesco worked. Maybe the answers I pick isn't the ones what they want to hear but again u know what good customer service is and what isn't so don't see how that will effect ur answers in anyway. I think Tesco is the only supermarket what does that. Sainsburys also gives u a online test to do but they don't pick people by random.

Yh I've applied for Tesco stores in the past and not once heard from them! I have retail experience and everything so don't see what they are looking for. Thats why I think they pick people at random.

Sometimes that's how it works. You may go for two interviews at one u hear back from and the other u dont. You have to know that u could get somewhere with the one what got back to you. It's not u at all. They have high standards.

That's good to know. Is it a job u can do though and have u got the experience etc for the role?

There was someone who uses RYL and she wanted to get into security but didn't have the experience and got turned down from the job. It wasn't her what put herself forward, it was her dad what works in security.

Do u think u can do the job? That what u wanna do?

It's good that ur still looking at jobs and not thinking the security is the only job u know u got interview for so u wanna still apply. Yh I've been looking at jobs two. Got interview for pub Monday.

Sorry I don't use Skype. I've never used it and dont know how lol. Maybe someone on here uses it but I dont. You can message me through inbox.

No problem JusC :) Will talk to you through inbox if not through these comments I work for one of the security company but they call me when they need , mostly on weekends. But they pick me to do security in very difficult places like pubs and night clubs. Oh god! if premiere league is on, people come in like crazy. Thankfully there is no premiere league tomorrow For the first time when I was called for this job, I was damn nervous looking at the people crowded inside and outside the pub and I am a small guy too lol but people were cooperative with me but they used to pick on the big security guy But time used to pass easily, listening to the awesome songs they play and the football match they show until people get drunk and start doing crazy things
