Have You Ever Lied Online?

I've been on the internet for so many years that i honestly can't remember if i've ever lied online. But i probably have at some point.....

I don't think I have as I can't really see the point but the main site I used when younger was a blog and ryl was my first forum by which point I was older?

Yup. I once lied about where I lived on a forum (because I was uber paranoid that people would find me), but then I had to keep adding lies to make it sound more believable (like timezones) and it got too much so I left and then realised that even if people knew what country I was in, that didn't mean they were going to find me specifically :P

Other than that, I can't recall having lied - not even about age or location. I'm sure there may have been white lies at some point, but overall I think I'm more likely to be too honest!

Not about large things like who you are entirely or where you live, but rather small things like why you couldn't get online last night, or ticking the over 18 box...

Absolutely. Not, like, made-up stories or major life events, but small details. Plenty of times. Not in my posts here. And not in years, because I'm a mother****ing grownup.

I've lied on the 'net all the time. I'm terribly embarrassed about my real name. Nobody has ever caught on yet. The ask my name and I say, "Call me Cordelia/ Evangeline/ Annalee" etc
