Yeah the guy who tattooed us, although he was a little dodgy, said cling film is a bad idea. It apparently started because people at tattoo conventions kept taking the cover off so in order that it is protected from bacteria, they covered it with cling film as its see-through.

I've got a tattoo on my arm, the only bit that really hurt for me was the last full stop. From what I remember, the rest didn't hurt at all, it was just an odd sensation. But I do have a high pain threshold.
Oh, the place I usually go to says to use cling film for 3 days or something. I might be having my next one at a different shop though cos it's nearer, so will see what they say.
Cling film should only be left on for an hour. Then you wash the tattoo with warm water and gentle soap and start to put bepanthen on.

I've not had a tat on my foot but got several including one on my ankle, the pain isn't too bad and it's only while the tattoo gun is on your skin, once it's off there is no pain.
I had my tattoo done on my left foot on the Saturday just gone. It hurt but was very manageable. I didn't need to hold my partner's hand or pull faces; I just chatted while it was being done.
I have 7 tattoo's and counting, one of which is on the inside of my ankle, however I hardly felt it, the worst I've had so far is my ribs, but even then I was able to hold a conversation with my artist just fine :) x

I have three tattoos and im a huge wimp lol. It is definately bearable though as it only hurts when the needle is touching. Good luck, I hope if you decide to go ahead that it turns out how you want :) x

I'm with what the others have said, it's uncomfortable but not painful. I don't have any on my feet but do have on on my wrist which is also sensitive and it wasn't bad at all.
I found neck really easy, just makes your head vibrate a bit! lol

Just had another on my neck done and found it really easy, hardly felt it, had one on my ribs and foot added to this weekend as well, I love having my ribs done but foot was quite a big one and is the worst I've had done!! Not that its put me off though x

I have 5, my rib piece hurt like hell,but not nearly as bad as people had me thinking it would be. My hip line hurt A LOT more. I'm getting a 3d butterfly on my foot soon,I'll report back. I'm hoping like my others,it will not be so bad as they say
