Are there foundation courses that you can study to ease yourself into it? Otherwise, maybe some voluntary work to enhance your CV and to lift your spirits, before going back to studying might be an option for you.

Well done for putting yourself out there, even though it caused you panic. It shows strength and determination in you and you can use that to fight how you're feeling. Take the support you deserve and go with it.

Take care.

thank you.x
I have found loads of shorter online courses and a couple of degrees in other things i am really interested in. I think ill do a shorter one to start with. I have always been uncertain over what to do and i think that was one of the main causes of my ED, that and alot of stress. so im going to avoid the stress, do something i can manage and afford and something i enjoy. my mum agrees thats a good plan and that the course i had considered looks too in depth right now. I cant go out alone at the moment because i have awaful panic attacks but ive found a drop in centre for people with eating disorders to go for advice and maybe i could volunteer there when im stronger.

I think that taking yourself out of the environment of eating disorders might be a good idea right now. You're clearly finding it hard and aren't in such a great place yourself, so volunteering at a drop-in centre probably wouldn't be the best call. However, you could do something to make yourself feel better that is voluntary that isn't so connected with personal issues?

About not knowing what you want to do, that can be such a worry. I know that I originally picked the wrong degree and ended up taking a year out beccause of it but that's fine, because there's plenty of time to make mistakes, get things wrong and change your mind. Very few people know what they actually want to end up doing and it'll come to you, just give it time and try not to stress yourself out too much.

to shine-thank you for the advice. i think for now ill focus on getting well so i can start with a part time job as soon as possible and have a good think about studying. i do want to do something because i dont think its good to be with our own thoughts too much. I do have quite a few interests- i love animals and natural health so i may do a course in that. mmm. actually my mum introduced me a while ago to the most amazing degree-its online and its metaphysics. so interesting and it would be healing for myself also. certainly worth a thought.

hi my freind-im not too bad today. going to the vets soon with one of our rabbits. im struggling slightly with body image etc today but not going to listen to it. how are you? pm anytime hun.x
