Lipstick and Lip Liner

Yes it arrived the other day and I tried it and found that the cheap lip liner I'd bought is too dark so I've found another one from a slightly better brand that I want to get and hoping it will be better :)

It's been hot here (over 30 degrees C) and I think my lipstick is melting away quicker than it usually would too.

Oh no! I hope the other one is better. I got a nice shade of pink, I almost got the wrong lip liner but then I saw one that matched nearer. Cant wait to try them all, I got smoky eye shadow stuff too.

Can I throw in a question about eyeliner here? Whenever I wear it ally quickly, so I havent bothered wearing it in ages, but I miss it. I bought some the other day, but I was wondering if maybe liquid liner would work better? I've never tried it before.

It's all about preference really.

I used to always use Kohl pencil eyeliner but then I found I could do it better/neater and got it a deeper black (rather than they grey-y black from a pencil) and could do the flicks with more precision and got the who line sharper but now i've just discovered an amazing gel eyeliner than works great and is very easy to apply and is a jet black!

So it's just trial and error and see what works best for you. Some people prefer pencil and some prefer liquid/gel.

Ah ok thanks. I will try the new pen and see how it goes. I'm just waiting for a chance to wear all the new make up!

I finally found an eye liner that stays on me! The whole lot of new make up I got was really nice I think and my friend thought so too. It's a new range called Essence and it's really cheap too. I'm not hugely into make up so wouldn't want to spend too much on it (cheapskate!) but I plan to start wearing it more often now that I've found a nice one. And yay I can be all goth with the eye liner now.

I'm such a wimp, I had an occasion the other night where I could have worn lipstick, thought about it, decided I couldn't face the issues about whether it would rub off and leave a lip liner line, or if I'd smudge it everywhere, and just went with my old lip gloss :(

I've always wondered what the point of lip liner is, and now I know. :D
Maybe I will actually go out and buy a liner and some lipstick and try it out.
I've always felt like it was too much of a hassle, but I've been inspired!
