Occasionally, yes! And their take on "serious television" is often more embarrassing than reality TV, believe it or not.

Not amused.

Utterly baffled at JLM's decision to film the pilot. Feels like a bit of a betrayal after Frankenstein with BC.

Producers on BBC Sherlock have told CBS they will be watching carefully, ready to take legal action if they have copied anything.

CBS approached the BBC last year asking to remake the BBC version. They said no, and CBS retaliate like this.

Here's the latest news. It had me in stitches all the way through. All they need to do is announce his apartment is above the Baker Street Irish pub and I might think of suing.

Sherlock Casting News of the Day: CBS has cast Dr. Watson in Elementary, the network’s modern-day take on Sherlock Holmes. Not John Watson, though: Joan Watson.
Deadline reports that Lucy Liu will play the “sober companion” to Jonny Lee Miller’s Sherlock Holmes, a former consultant for Scotland Yard who moved to New York City to seek treatment for his addiction problems.
Fresh out of rehab, Sherlock now lives in a Brooklyn apartment with Watson, an ex-surgeon who lost her license when one of her patients died.

A genderbent John Watson is fine, I don't have a problem with that (though I don't think I've seen Lucy Liu in anything so can't comment on her).

The thing I have a problem with is disgracing the character. John/Joan is supposed to be an army doctor invalided home from Afghanistan. That's what ACD wrote. So why turn John/Joan into a surgeon who lost her licence because a patient died? That's completely changing the character and the dynamic.

And if they changed John to female simply because they want Sherlock and Joan to have a romantic attachment then that makes me angry.
