People on trains/coaches?

A bit off track but i was on the train this morning, and there was this young lady, she kept looking at me, that didn't bother me but she looked like she wanted to murder me.

Random little story there.

For some reason people never sit next to me on public transport unless they absolutely have to which is kind of amusing. Weird one, I know there's nothing wrong with me but maybe when I'm in deep thought, which is most the time, I may look a bit unapproachable.

I do observe a lot though. I thought it was interesting about how you'd imagine each person to spending their last hours/day. I may give that one a go.

I was on a bus recently and a woman was staring at everyone on the bus, after she'd finished staring at everyone she announced it was to 'check what race' we all were, which she then followed up with a racist remark. I was glad to get off the bus, it was really awkward after she'd done that.

I don't like it when people sit by me, although I go everywhere with my partner so that doesn't really happen much as he's with me.

Bus conversation is up there with taxi conversation in terms of crappy awkward talk. While on the packed but quiet Uni bus a few weeks ago I saw a guy who I knew vaguely from school. We were running late stuck behind lots of funeral service cars, then he very loudly says to me that when he dies he'd like his body to be stuffed if he can find somebody crazy enough to do it. I think I remember why we weren't close friends.

I often wonder where people are going, especially if they have huge bags with them. Nobody talks on public transport here - I think there's a law that at all times you have to look like you HATE everyone around you.

But I've had some amazing conversations on long-distance sleeper trains :)
