I think you should relax. You definately won't go to prison! You are highly unlikely to be charged - no more so than anyone else and don't worry about the prints. we had an ongoing situation at work some time ago and asked the police to come and take prints of an object and our fingerprints. We're still waiting ;>) and it was a more distressing situation than the loss of £55. They have to listen to the woman but they also have to think of their costs.
