You just bring up itunes... you can click n drag the music files to it, it will sync. If it can't sync it will tell you its the wrong format etc....

I recomend insurance. I have an 8o gig... I've had it 4 years. First couple times my ipod would drop like a tiny fall to the floor, n stop working. I had insurance got refurbished, happened about 5 times before I got a ipod that could actually take a beating. And if you turn off your ipod setting to auto sync to itunes, then you can plug it up to your friends computer n get their music to without deleting yours. If you don't do that setting n try to sync to a friends comp, it will delete everything you put on it an just have whatever they had on their computer.

But I've been informed zune is a better mp3 player, because its not apple. I personally like my ipod, but zune you can be wireless n still do whatever n things like xboxs n computers will detect them without chords.

Have fun.

Edit-ii personally have never bought a thing off itunes so idk about that. I just rip from cd's or torrent. I know its wrong to torrent blabla, but if you like what you torrent its courteousy(sp?) To go buy it after. A way of sampling if you will.

K now have fun.
Btjunkie.org/mininova.org or they .com's I don't remember.

It's a 4th gen. shuffle. Does it have to be switched on when I charge it? Am trying both, but Google didn't say.

Is it better to use a mains charger, as charging it off my laptop [when plugged in of course] is taking ages...

^ Shouldn't make any difference. I've never noticed on anyways. I tend to plug in and leave over night.

I use a mains charger. And I think you can leave it off to charge it, there should be a sign that it's charging though. My mains charger has a light that comes on when it's charging.

I haven't noticed any difference between a phone and ipod charger - but it depends how happy you are leaving your computer on overnight (I never switch mine off so it's fine leaving it on overnight); do whatever works for you :)

Starting to enjoy it?

QUESTION RE BACKING UP ITUNES - I got some CDs to back up my itunes library. But I've run into a problem. In the instructions it says there's a 'back up to CD' option in the Library menu. But I have no such thing. Help! I'm on Windows 7, and have whatever the latest version of itunes is. Thanks.

Ok, found they deleted that option. Bleh. Am Googling, but anyone with helpful info would be appreciated.
