Ryl is up and is running quite smoothly, yes im aware ryl has issues but at least its not a more serious issue such as being at risk of closing down ryl. Surely what we have currently got (i dont mean that to sound bad) is better than nothing at all.

I thought I should post a reply really as this does obviously concern me. Its incredibley frustrating to have all the responsibility but none of the power. No one can do their job effectively without the tools they need and it does make me feel quite useless.

I am the head of chat, but have nothing to define that, I am just waiting at the moment for some power so I can add some mods and finally get things changing on the chat side. Please rest assured that I have tried to sort the issues out myself but nothing has worked. I have messaged the people who could help and I am waiting for a response.

I would like to thank all the members of chat who have been co-operative with the lack of mods. We are trying our best. On a personal level I am currently on a work placement for 5 weeks, this means I am working full time and in the evenings planning for the next day and I know the rest of the chat mods are busy people too. We can only do what we can and Im very concious of not pushing our remaining chat mods too far, the last thing we need is more having to/wanting to leave.

I hope everyone understands and thank you for you co-operation.

Liv.x

It certainly looks like it's running smoothly on the outside, but from a mod perspective it's pretty much..not working very well at all. And that's why I'm asking for a little favour. To be honest, I shouldn't HAVE to ask for this favour, so many people are working VERY hard to make this website work as well as possible and the one person who should be helping to sort it out isn't actually here. And I don't think it's fair that the burden falls on Liv's shoulders.

I understand what your saying but sadly there isnt anything we can do. Yes it is very unfair on Liv and all the other people but as i said surely what we have got is better than nothing at all. I also feel the same i can see things that need to be done, but that cant be done due to Harleys absence and yes it is frustrating but we need to be patient. At least we dont have more serious issues like the example i gave.

Well there is no point keep complaining. Where is that going to get us? Yes it is incredibly annoying but as iv said so many times before at least we have something its better than nothing at all.

I think, given what has just happened tonight to one girl on this thread, we do need more mods!

I know, but from what I heard, no forum mods where online until a chat mod told them what was going on.

I happen to be the only forum mod in the US. While it is nice that a chat mod did give me a heads up (which I saw when I went to check in), I do check in fairly regularly while working - which happens to be while the UK mods tend to be asleep. I'm only AMAzing - not perfect, I can't be here all the time, it would be nice if the coverage were more evenly spaced, but that happens to not be the way it is at the moment.

Yeah thats true, sorry, i'm highly annoyed by the fact that someone felt the need to do something as cruel as what happened.

It is sad. It hits close to home because something similar has happened to me on this website. Actually, I always feel sad when I give points or anything remotely close because I EXPECT BETTER.

I absolutely agree with this - in terms of chat mods we currently have 1 US mod, and 3 UK mods.... A lot can happen in the few hours that mods sleep!

And ama - i think you did awesomely tonight, you dealt with the matter as quickly as possible <3

I find it really disappointing and sad, that someone has to go out of their way to do something so pathetic to hurt and attempt to ruin someone else's life. Do they have anything better to do? Obviously not?

Anyway I'm glad the mods did a good job clearing it up.

Dramaz. How I don't miss being a mod sometimes (as awesome as you all are, mod-love).

I hate to be sceptical, but this is LONGGG on-going problem. This has been an issue for an aaaage, well back into the time I was a mod, and even when Harley was around a tad more it still wasn't always easy.

Yes, until Harley's back more and sorts things out (sorry to be sceptical, but I fear that could be a while still), things are on hold in terms of what the mods can do, more mods, etc.

BUT just because you're not a mod, doesn't mean you can't help.
Now I know it's not the same, I know the difference between mod powers and not, and the need for them, etc, buttttt you can still do loads to help this site out. Report posts, contribute to discussion threads productively, help people out in serious discussion, etc. It's the small things, it keeps the peace, it helps RYL keep going, and it helps RYL serve it's main purpose of being here - not all the social dramaz, but acting as a support website.

I'll get off my tangent-y ever-so-slightly high horse now, paha, OOPS.

xx

I see it in your eyes
You'll be alright

.
