When I was about 8, I used to love making fairy cakes and Victoria Sponges... and for some reason, I made biscuits but put food colouring in them, so they were red one day and purple the next! It didn't harm me or anything but nobody else would touch a strange coloured biscuit, so I ate them all myself. Yes, I'm weird.

Heh, I did the same a few times, but with cakes. I'd just substitute any liquid I could find for the vanilla essence when we didn't have any in. I remember a blue sponge cake :D And a lemon sponge that was so yucky it put me off anything with lemon in for years. And some delicious mint chocolate buns that I made when I was about 9.
