Why am I not a member??

These are mainly all user group issues (user group memberships control what you can and can't do on RYL amongst other things). As the website has continued to grow over the years our original user group system has become rather inadequate.

This part of RYL will be rebuilt entirely for v4 - for the time being though, don't worry if you see some strange behaviour. The only time Typsee or Harley or myself will need to do anything about it is if it is effecting your ability to use RYL as intended.

I removed myself from being a 'member' when I was a mod to see what'd happen, and yeah, I get the same thing as Aimee when I go to the 'I am a' section.
When I left being a mod, I asked Typsee to put me into something so that I didn't just disappear into the pits of RYL, and although mine now says that I'm a forum member only, I can still access chat a-ok, so that's a bit strange. It doesn't change anything though, so that's alright :)

v4 is being developed but will be a while yet an will mainly be behind the scene structural/security changes if i remember rightly.

If you are awaiting confirmation, i think Typsee can resend the email, but she may take a while to reply at present.

I'm not sure why you had this"Member Awaiting Email Confirmation" coz surely you wouldnt be permitted to post anything if you hadnt confirmed your membership to RYL ... and it looks like you've been posting away quite happily for some time now.

But I've changed things and made you a member now (in addition to your Gold Sponsorship as well) so hopefully its all fixed up now.

So I'm not really sure how something like this could happen ... UNLESS I have done something with your admin profile just recently - for example, removing you from an RYL staff team (like the Supporters, or the RYL Community Team) - and I accidentally forgot to include you as a regular member again.
