I dont like being to people unless they were really horrible, but even then nah i just cant. I either walk away or if i'm at work try and be diplomatic while wanting to severly slap them

Hmm...

Whenever someone is being rude or aggressive towards me, I generally stay calm and try to reason with them through logical explanation. However, in other cases, a more extreme solution is nessesary.

I suppose it is a very much contextual thing. If someone comes up to you in the middle of the streat spouting out sh*te, then there is nothin gwrong with responding with 'defensive' rudeness. However if it is in a conversation between two friends, then often my initial strategy is the best... "An eye for an eye" often leads to the situation worsening.

On the internet is different, you mainly come across people who hide behind a screen and act all condascending and arguementative because they know they can get away with it.

I all for being rude back, but thats just me

Everyone has different views on slapping someone back with a comment to confuse them or hurt them more hten they hurt you with words....

not everything thinks its okay but then there is others who think its a sin or wrong...

as the person above me sorta said he/he doesnt mind being rude

Does it mean that they don't do it again, though? I mean, surely you're just starting a negative cycle - they respond because you've responded, and it just keeps going - and spiralling out of control, unnecessarily, all because you didn't take the higher ground and not respond?

There is no guarantee that they won't do it again, and quite frankly, it's just quite unpleasant and unnecessary, if it could be settled by just a smile and ignoring it.

There's nothing wrong with just letting things pass from time to time, but I fully think that rudeness gets you nowhere, anyway.

I havent read the other posts yet but Im thinking that you can approach a person in all innocence ,and if they are nasty to you ,it gets the back up you.
I mean whats their problem like ,some assholes can be so horrible because they hate themselves.Take it out on others and cause so much hate. Its different when you know the person ,you can understand, but its when you dont know someone and they arent nice.It gets me angry ,but I wouldnt be nasty to them ,but I would be wondering whats their problem and I would think about it a lot. It would make me cautious in the future.

i'm sorry, I didn't read the whole way through, but I always just brush it of, or maybe, if they're really, really, reallly out of line I'll ask them to stop, but I wouldn't be rude back, it would start a vicious circle.

this is my magical medicine cabinet. Left to right they contain: courage, hope, calmness, and strength.

The magical part: They NEVER run out, so borrow some any time you want.

I wouldn't be rude, but I wouldn't make the effort to be particularly polite either.
