Yes i think they can. I've always got on better with men, and feel more comfortable with them than some women. I mean i have my best girl mates but other than that its always been guys and i've only ever had an issue and we quickly sorted it and are still mates but maybe i'm just lucky

My first crush while being at my Alma Mater/Grad school is a guy that I am currently friends with. That being said, my boyfriend started out as my friend. So, it just depends on whom you are dealing with.

Yes, it is possible. Most of my best friends have been guys, and once you reach a point in your friendship, it becomes... weird? to consider a sexual relationship with them.
My boyfriend started out as a friend and it progressed - but that's not to say that every relationship will be like that.
But I suppose it does depend on the person, and the friends that they have.

about 90% of my friends are male, maybe even more than that.
I have never had any romantic involvement with any of them. I just can't see them in that way and they all see me as one of the lads.

Let me be the one you call
If you jump i'll break your fall
Lift you up and fly away with you into the night
If you need to fall apart
I can mend a broken heart
If you need to crash then crash and burn
YOU'RE NOT ALONE

Until recently the majority of my friends have been male. I always tend to get on better with guys and have never considered a relationship with any of them.
It's definitely possible

I've gone for depending on the people involved because I have a male friend that tends to only befriend girls that he has feelings for...I had a male friend that has since become more and I have a male friend that is like my best friend so yeah...different people, different scenarios!

Interesting replies.
I made this thread b/c my one female friend is convinced men and women are incapable of being "just friends." I do agree that it depends on the people involved, though.
