Bitterblue Kristin Cashore. I caanot put into words how excited/happy I am that this book eists.I have waited solong for a sequal to Graceling, and didn't even know one was in the making. Total surprise when I walked into my book shop haha.
And yet, by heaven, I think my love as rare,
As any she belied with false compare.
I feel a little odd because a lot of you guys are reading in-depth literary novels...
...And I'm still reading from the "young adult" *cough* kids *cough* section.
Ah who cares! I love my stereotypical teenage girl vampire stories :D
I've just read The Summoning by Kelley Armstrong - which actually isn't a vampire novel - and now had to rush around to find some leftover birthday money to buy the other two books in the trilogy. The Awakening and The Reckoning :)
Awesome books if, like me, you still love your teenage paranormal fantasy novels!
How are you finding Twenties Girl? I loved it so much. Not as much as The Undomestic Goddess, but still, I loved it.
Also, just in case, Bridget Jones' Diary mentions stuff like calorie count at the top of most entries, if stuff like that can bother you. Other than that, it's a great book :)
I'm re-reading Addition by Toni Jordan. It's one of the best books I've read in a long time. It's about a woman with the compulsive need to count everything in her life. It's so funny and lovely and interesting too.
Now I'll play your ghost as my ace, whenever I'm led astray.
But I am actually good, can't help it if we're tilted.
I'm in my right place, don't be a downer.
I'm finding it hard to get into at the moment but that's probably just because of where my head's at rather than how the book is. It's different to other books i've read about DID.
I put it down on paper and then the ghost does not ache so much.
Don't try to calm the storm, calm yourself, the storm will pass.
Reading the complete sherlock holmes Sir Arthur Conan Doyle knew how to write, I'll give him that
Take me away, I just want out from this self-imprisoned self-made Hell. Don't be surprsed, this is your mind coming to life by self-sacrifice. This tragedy of death will walk hand in hand with every thought of regret. Blame yourself for what you've become. The mind is a powerful thing set to self-destruct.
~I, Dementia - Whitechapel~
I'm currently reading Affair of the Heart by Laura Allen
It's really good. I would recommend it to anyone who likes a good romantic with the odd laugh thrown in
